actually, I will leave Sapporo on 17/7, I have book accomodation in Biei on 17/7 and 18/7, then to 旭川 on 19/7, stay for 1 night, then from 旭川 airport to Tokyo, I think this is no need for me to走回頭路 back to Sapporo, but I have to bring along the baggage for Sapporo to Biei then to 旭川.
but if the pass is also covered the return trip to sapporo, I can chose the route 札幌->富良野->美瑛->旭川->札幌->Tokyo, so that I can leave the baggage in the hotel in Sapporo and back to sapporo on 20/7 so , what is your opinion?
that means your route as 札幌->富良野->美瑛->札幌->Tokyo, you have use the 4-day pass?
Heavy luggage problem also was one of the main reason that I selected Sapporo as my arrival & departure point at Hokkaido. Yes, I bought the 4-day-pass too. As your travel period is peak season, it's better to buy the passes and reserve twinkle bus one or two day before (I'm not remember advance booking is available on how many day before.)
My itin was:
D1 Osaka -> Sapporo
D2 Sapporo
D3 Sapporo->Furano
D4 Furano-Biei-Otaru
D5 Otaru->Sapporo
D6 Sapporo->Tokyo
