You were discussing about Mother Goose. The set is very good and my elder daughter likes it so much since she was a baby. There is a kind of "service" to buy MG (Singapore version) via email. The set will be delivered to your home / anyplace you named. Besides, you don't have to buy all 4 at one time. You can pick one or any. It will be a little bit more expensive than buying it directly from the Singapore (about HK$200 / box) but more convenient. I tried it about 2 years ago.

I went to BB Cute on 3/27. I brought my 2 nieces (3.5 yrs old and 6yrs old) as well. We had a good time there and the price is reasonable.

For BB photo, the best time is 8month-9month, at this time, (1) they can sit by themselves, (2) they can sit straight (if too early, BB likes to bend their waists and the photos will not be good), (3) cannot crawl, so, will not go here and there, (4) they will laugh/smile easily when you behave funny.

So, I'd suggest not to be hurry, wait until 7m, then, you can call and make the reservation at the studio.

I compared several studios and find BB Cute and Baby House the best. BB Cute is a cheaper option, however, the studio is more "Up Dup". Baby House is a more expensive option.

BB Cute: $390 for 50 min for unlimited photos and unlimited clothes/backdrops. $150 extra as weekends charge, i.e. $540 for Sat/Sun. I took this package. In average, a baby can have 6-7 styles and 1.5 rolls of films, i.e. around 50-55+ photos altogether within 50 min. They will give you the films for you to develop elsewhere, more economic.

Baby House: $780 for 36 photos. Around 10 styles/backdrops. You can choose to add $5xx for 1/2 roll of black-and-white. No time limit as the limit is 36 photos for $780.

I also thought the same thing before I went, and I brought with me 2 nieces, hoping they could help to "squeeze" into the timeslots for my baby to sleep/change diaper/drink milk.... but then... I found out this is NOT a good idea to "lengthen" the time. My baby was in very good mood at the first hour, I took 15-20 min, then, my 2 nieces requested to take photos, so, I let them take first, then, my baby sitting aside without anything to do... then, we waited and then, originally I could finish all the photos within 50 min when my baby was in GOOD mood, it ended up 3 hours in total and my baby felt tired and sleepy and.... So, if you feed the baby before you go, and let it sleep well before you go, the 50 min is enough to take good photos. Making the duration longer may not help. This is my expr.

You can bring 1-2 sets of your own clothes, but this is optional, for taking family photos and the birthday party scene. You can bring swimming suit for the beach scene.

Yeap, I chose BB Cute for my 2 nieces, as BB Cute has more bigger kids styles to choose, many for boys and girls. For boy, e.g. police, football game, etc.

兒童膠墊釋致癌毒物

常用於防止幼兒跌倒受傷的拼裝塑膠墊，被發現普遍含有有毒或致癌物質。據台灣消費者基金會檢測當地有售的十三個拼裝塑膠墊樣本發現，有十二個揮發出不同劑量的苯、甲苯、乙苯及二甲苯等共十種有機化合物；專家指出，幼童長時間吸入這些有毒物質，可致腦部受損、心律不整甚至猝死，而苯更是致癌物質。本港海關表示正了解事件。

台灣驗出在港有售

本港不少幼稚園、幼兒中心及一般家庭都會在地上鋪上拼裝塑膠軟墊，避免兒童玩耍時跌倒或受傷。消費者委員會研究及商營手法事務部總主任鄭躍年表示，消委會未測試過這類產品，不知是否含苯，但他不排除台灣消基會驗出含苯的膠墊，部分在港有售。

鄭指出，苯屬致癌物質，是揮發性有機化合物，會釋放在空氣中，產生異味，但產品中含苯量高，並不等於會釋放在空氣，故須經測試才知該產品苯含量對人體的影響。他建議市民避免購買氣味強的膠墊，若使用該類產品時，應保持空氣流通，減少兒童吸入苯的機會。

據台灣消基會測試發現，十三個樣本中，有十二件會揮發出劑量不同的苯、甲苯、乙苯等有毒有機溶劑，其中五個含苯，含量最高為「家樂福拼裝地氈」，達0.19ppm；「Pooh EVA小熊維尼家族彩墊（彩印）」含量0.16ppm，此樣本亦被驗出含高達12.06ppm甲苯；「DISNEY米奇圖案轉印彩墊（彩印）」則含2.5ppm甲苯。此外，有八件樣本沒有在包裝中標示主要成分或所用物料。

地球之友助理總幹事劉祉鋒指，膠製產品有機會含致癌物質苯，如短期吸入高濃度的苯，會令人出現咳嗽、眼睛刺痛及皮膚敏感，長期吸入高濃度苯，可引致肝、腎功能受損，影響中樞神經，令人頭痛或麻痹，此外，幼童免疫系統一般較弱，如他們長期吸入苯，患癌機會也增加。

難以分解無法清除

公開大學環境學系主任何建宗亦指，油漆、顏料，甚至玩具都有機會含苯，苯難以分解，長期吸入會致癌，若玩具或兒童用品含這物質，可放在空氣流通的地方，使苯從產品中釋出，但無法完全清除，只能將其含量減至無害水平。

【明報專訊】問﹕孩子今年4歲，由出生至今都未試過替他清潔耳垢，有時看到他的耳朵裏很多耳垢，想用棉花棒替他清潔，但他不肯坐定，有什麼方法﹖而且耳垢積聚得太多，好像會影響聽覺，我曾聽人說過用耳燭方法吸走耳垢，但這對小孩子來說是否可行呢﹖因為我怕會弄痛他。心急媽媽上

答﹕首先讚賞媽媽有疑問時先行問清楚，而不是道聽塗說，胡亂把東西或藥物塞進孩童的耳朵裏。耳垢（屎）乃耳膜及外耳道脫落的表皮、毛、塵埃與皮膚腺體的分泌物混合所形成的固體塊。其實每個人都有耳垢，質與量因人而異，與遺傳基因有關（第16條染色體控制），其顏色由黃白至深褐色不等，質由軟黏性（油耳垢）至硬乾燥（乾耳垢），兩者都屬正常，和疾病無關。

耳垢具「保護」作用

耳垢可保護耳朵，是「好」東西，作用是﹕

1.分隔水及外來細微物體，不易深入耳內。

2.耳垢含有腺體的分泌物及免疫蛋白，所以稍微帶有抑制細菌生長的作用。

成人因耳道較寬，耳垢不易引至完全阻塞，而且講話或咀嚼時下顎骨及頭部肌肉都在運動，鬆碎的耳垢便可以自行掉出耳孔，所以不需特別清理。但幼兒因耳道較狹窄或彎曲，或引至耳垢無法自行清除，形成過多耳垢令耳道閉塞，在洗澡或游泳後，耳垢更會吸水膨脹，易繁殖細菌。若耳垢阻塞造成不適（如耳痛、耳鳴、聽力減退），便須進行清理。長期耳塞，會影響聽力，使幼兒的學習能力受阻。

每月清潔1次即可

醫生若懷疑病人有中耳發炎、耳膜穿孔，甚至化膿等，必須完全清理外耳道，以便診斷。

1.在耳孔附近的耳垢，比較容易清除，寶寶洗澡後，父母可用清潔的小棉棒將滲出耳道的水或污物清除，保持清潔乾燥，以免滋生細菌。但如果是塊狀的耳垢，小棉棒反而會將耳垢更推入深處。盲目清理，更很易把耳道弄傷，引致出血或發炎。家長應注意切勿將任何東西插入耳朵，即使是棉花棒或手指都不應，以免刺破耳膜。

2.耳孔內的耳垢，可用一、兩滴礦物油或甘油，先將耳垢軟化，讓多餘的液體自行流出，重複兩三天使用，耳垢軟化後便可開始進行
