enoch's daddy is back la!! So happy to see that enoch still able to recognize daddy!! We went to the airport to pick daddy up and enoch first with a puzzle look.. but after awhile.. he smiles to daddy!! and he even wanted daddy to hold him!!!

keke.. I enjoy the time while my husband is away for business trip even though I miss him, too .. haha...

yes i feel the competition as well. for maid it's easier cos i can just tell her to give me & bb some space. but hard for relatives lor.

one time we were in harbour city, bb was sleepy, rubbing his eyes, one of the relatives kept on holding the bb, & i said to her, "why don't you put bb to stroller, he will sleep better," she thought i wanted to take away bb from her. ho fan ar!!!!

oh.......... you are right... I rather give mine to my daughter than to the daughter-in-law... especially the dil might not cherish my stuffs.. ..................

haha........i don't ve much personal treasures to pass.... but we also would prefer a girl more than a boy. apart from the reason i mentioned above, i found girls (normally) are easier to handle, easier to arrange education, etc.

i don't have much either. but like small items which cost little but with great sentimental value lor. i'm sure daughter in law would think, "my 99 gives me such cheap stuff", but daughter would think, "my mom passed this to me, she wore it when she was young." etc.....

haha......... i love your phrase!

but most likely we won't ve another kid. both my husband and i found ourselves exhausted having one boy.. can't imagine if there are two monsters in the home.

Hm.. I want to tell my maid similar thing, too... but i don't know how to tell her sometime... Sigh.. and very often she will copy what I did and said.. feel sooo uncomfortable with that ! Is all the good maid like this?? if she is good to bb, she will treat bb is hers??! (but my maid is not married yet and have no kids.. I don't think she understand at all a feeling of a mom lor..............:cry:

hm.. relatives... except my 62 & 99.. my baby actually won't let other "long time no see" relatives to hold him .. so I would be okay if bb actually let them hold him... but 99.... very scary lor... she just spoil baby so much.......... And I also hate it sometimes she will act like the maid is the mom more !! :tongue:

hm.. my husband and I are actually thinking when to have the next one.... hm.. single kid seems soo lonely.. and seems like we have all our attention on him.. not too healthy ...

if there are two.. eventually, they will play together.. and leave us two elderly alone............. (just my thought)

i guess we can't have it all lor. as i said i would give my maid B+. she has 3 kids herself (age: 16,14,12). she told me about her kids as well, cos she couldn't look after them cos she has to work in hk. i think she understands. but i need to remind her lor. for example, when i get home, i will say to her, " it's ok la, i will look after bb." first few time she will say, "it's ok" & still not disappear. but 3rd time on she got it & went back to the kitchen. she will only appear when i call for her. also i ask her to cook simple things more eg make jelly, fruit juices etc (for me & husband) to keep her busy lor

re: 99
for my case it's ok lor, they have 10 grand children already. she's a quiet person so i'm quite lucky in that respect lor.

i prefer girls too. as i found that boys are really naughtier than girls. besides, a daughter can bring a son to the family.
be serious, i believe the path for a son is very tough. the burden for him will b heavy. but u know for girls, they can earn $$ for buying their own luxuries while the boys work hard like a dog to support them.

i'm not planning to hv another one either. really EXHAUSTED to take care of one. i know single child is lonely all the time, but... what if the siblings hate one another and always fight w/ one another? just like my cousins, they 2 hate one another so much that they seldom see one another.
of course this is the extreme case only.

好攪笑. 我老公一直都唔想再有多一個, 因為佢想俾最好的俾小叭, 日後去usa or uk的學校. 但上個月遲左大半個月都未來m, 咁開始心理附導佢可以有多一個bb, 佢初時好擔心, 傷心,因為唔可以俾最好的小叭, 佢可能只可以去canada讀書, 又要遲多十年才可以退休. 不過後來又接受左, 覺得有60%開心,40%擔心......但後來睇醫生後係.......無的. 佢就都覺得好失落咁喎.

re: maid - she seems taking good care of my boy and won''t bother me when I back home

re: relatives - still not yet found any problems here, but just afriad there may be some when bb grows up more......

for boy or gal - I and my hubby both want a gal, however, we got a boy ......

time for the next: still struggle on "should we get the 2nd?"
