wow...so good to hear wing fung got a good time in mid autumn festival.

sigh...we've been back for less than 2 weeks but geralyn got sick already, i didn't go anywhere, just go for grocery, then got infected again! but we did bring her out to chinese garden, it's a place got a lot of 花燈欣嘗, 有印度花燈tim, so u know mid autumn festival is famous in sg too!

but i forgot to bring a digital cam, just used my handphone to take pic, not very nice in nite time, quite blurry lor!

hey, may i ask u what kind of soup can i make it for 保健,強化 lung and respiratory? since the haze is getting ticken and worsen now, i wonder what should i do to protect ourselves and especially, geralyn is asthmatic?

I finally brought Tung Tung to see the chinese doctor of Baptist U in TST yesterday. The doctor didn't recommend the power form. Luckily, she didn't resist to drink the medicine as I let her see her most favourite video.

why so unfair !? we cannot enjoy the newly announced kindergarten subsidy scheme ! why discriminate us .............
but HKPS is such a good nursery, I don't want to change to another............ :-(

actually TungTung is very cooperative. for小麥子, it's like a battle everytime asking him to drink the med. his character is very strong and stubborn. moreover, recently he likes to be `rebelliant' and does everything opposite to our instructions !

i also read from the newspaper that s'pore is much polluted recently by the indonesia's fire (?). i can imagine how poor geralyn is suffering....

for geralyn, if it is the asthmatic acute phase, likely both the antibiotics and the 氣管舒張劑 are needed, because there would be a lot of sputum and infections. for chinese med: the main direction will be the same, e.g 定喘湯 ("hot" asthma) or 射干麻黃湯 ("cold" asthma). if for the subacute phase, then both increasing her immunity, symtomatic control, and supportive therapy are needed. in general prinicple, if it is the "weak lung" problem (e.g. easily catch cold, sneeze & clear running nose, sweating a lot, provoked by weather changes), then 玉屏風 etc is good. you may try boiling soup / congee for her , with 黨參(太子參better for kid)、白朮、黃耆ie北耆(五指毛桃better for asian weather); for "weak spleen/digestive system" problem, eg. lots of phlagm, weak and tired, poor appetite, soft stool, then 六君子湯 is more appropriate. 茯苓、太子參、白朮、炙甘草、法半夏、廣陳皮(better if have 化橘皮). of course, +- other ingredients if +- other signs.

if the whole family drinks the soup, of course it's better if the ingredients is more `general' and `mild', but then it is sometimes too `mild' and takes longer time to see the threapeutic effects. i would suggest 靈芝 and 冬蟲草, famous for their good nutrients for the lung health.

of course, better better go and see a registered chinese medicine dotor in s'pore, so that he/she can prescribe the more `tailor-made' med/health products for you three !!

1. sad not b'coz of $, but why the govt has to pinpoint the `private' school ? 私立 not necessarily the 學店 (as the BK moms at another topic describe it) , mine is a very good and caring one, but not really 學店 type. i trust that the major part of the school fee we spent, are used on the school (resources, the teaching materials, the teachers).

recently they organise a parents day and the prinicpal and teachers inc the office and cleansing staff, serve for the activity until 930pm ! i really appreciate what the school is doing.

moreover, it is nearer to my place and have ns and mandarin teachers.

i am sad that the govt think that we don't get the subsidy b'coz we `食得鹹魚抵得渴' . in fact, as we spent a lot on 小麥子 ed, books, ECA, etc, and have to save $ on other ways. :cry: sometimes i am so mean to myself, that i 唔捨得 spend too much. we didn't go for any trip for 9 years; we didn't see movie at cinema for 3 years; just bought new clothes 3 years ago (just the 上班套裝, not the pretty 去街衫); either bring my own lunch or sometimes just eat the sandwitch for lunch ah ! (of course, think positively, that's why i can keep fit ! haha ! )

2. Sat Open Day of 紅磡學之園 ? sounds nice ! is it a non-profit making kinder? under $2400 ? what time is it on Sat? would u bring wingfung there? then maybe he will play with 小麥子? does he like cars and trucks?

tks for yr concern, the weather is better these couple of day, it's like on & off so we watch out for the PSI very closely now, once it's over 100, that means it's unhealthy and we better to be careful lor!

oh, i don't even know what's Hot or Cold asthma? anyway, as what u described to me, most likely she got "weak lung", very easy got infected from someone who is flu or sick, then she'll start sneezing first, then running nose, cough....and we'll give her ventoline right away if she starts coughing, actually, we give her seretide daily, 2 puffs for a few months as a preventer but still got sick, sigh...i understand 隔山睇症好難呀啦! just want to see if there's something to build up her immune system lor! i did try 冬蟲草 for more than 6 months, but still the same, sigh...can i try bird nest? ?-(

當我發現琳琳可以3小時以上尿片還是乾的, 我就開始訓練.一開始訓練時, 我買了10條綿質短褲型的底褲給她穿.
訓練是由日間開始, 我替她穿上短褲型的底褲代替尿片. 每1.5小時帶她上一次廁所.琳琳喜歡大人用的廁所, 所以我扶
