I've placed order on DD for 4 times and so far I'm satisfied with their services. When I have questions, I'll send my enquiries through MSN (which is similar to ICQ) and their customer service would reply me instantly during office hour.

About the 洪恩魔力小电脑—魔法英语, it looks like the one in Toysrus (Leapfrog), GC let's find out, super E-kids (according to the catalog introduction, more than 100 thousands pcs of 洪恩魔力小电脑 had been sold out in USA). The books for this machine looks similar to those used with Leapfrog too.

I found this item in the catalog of 洪恩 products(which is the publisher of China version GO GO English, Bravo English, ...) and I don't have any idea of what the actual machine looks like/ how it operates.

As this is an electronic product, I think it's quite risky to buy through DD online or other online website. (Because the cost of returning the problematic machine will be very high.) I think we may approach "IXXX" to see if they can import sample machine from CHINA so that we can take a look at the "real" product.

So far, 我都滿意DD嘅service，唯一就係啲書比較dirty，每次都要清理一番。

i also want to order the china version (All in English!) of national geo. full set, but i can't find the link in dd, can you help me?

how to use the messenger part ( like icq) in dd?

i had placed order with hongniba and they replied me, but i need to find a way to pay them, they will deliver to my office in hk after i pay.

Did you install MSN (Windows Messengers) in your PC? It comes and built-in with MS windows. If so you cam find a green person icon located at the bottom right corner of your PC. DO you have hotmail account?

Here is the MSN account for DD:

MSN：[email protected]

You can add DD account to the MSN group and then you may chat directly with their customer service.

(Everytime I ask them questions, I'll use MSN service. Of course I need to input Chin. for the questions. If you ask them in English then they'll ask you to send them questions by Email as those online CS are not good in ENg.)

BY the way, I'd like to know how you place the order with Hongniba? How did they charge on the postage fee to HK? Is it expensive? I'm interested in the books on Hongniba too!

About the NG books, I'll find out the links and reply you later.

Hello mattsmum,

I recommend you to buy the National Geographic books directly from "Ixxx" as they offer 20% discount. There are still lots of stock at "DD". (I cannot find a set of all 44 books on DD which means that if you ordered NG from DD, $1 will be charged for each item.).

Moreover, each topic of NG books (total 9 sets, each with 5 books) are packed into a very nice plastic box (@29.5X 0.8 /box) now. Or you may choose and buy only those topics that you're interested ($5.9 x 0.8 / book)

By the way, the turtle books, READY READERS stage ABC, L1,2,3 and MY FIRST WORD are now available at "CxxxxxxWxxx". (The quality of the turtle book series is much better than what I expected.)

hi, FXPC,
thank you for your advice for national geographic book, can you pm me the address of the hk bookshop? i always use dd as i stay in hk island most of the time and have no chance of going to mongkok.

i try the icq part of dd and they tell me to use chinese not english.but i am very slow in chin.

for honiba, i just called their guangzhou office first. then i placed order on web putting down my hk address , telephone and hk e-mail. they then called me and send me an e-mail summrising how much i have to pay. the delivery charge for my "box" is 23 dollars.

but the trouble is the paying method cannot be carried out in hk except using hk post office ( 40 dollar plus 5% of the amount), or I need to go to china to use their post office to pay, or I have to get a person in china to pay for me. so I hav't settle the issue yet. their books are really good.
