Yes, the area for day nursery classes in KLLC makes one feel better, half play area half with desks in group setting. But for 4/f and 5/f only. 3/f ie KG area looks the same as other KGs.
If that is the case, and Jun's dislike of classrooms is really that much, you will have no choice but to go for non-traditional type of pr school woh.
Well, you still have 4y to go, try see if putting him in rooms for playgroups will kill his hatred / fear of classrooms, otherwise he will not survive in regular school.

Before SARS, KLLC had a sandpit on G/f, but no more now. Kids loved the sandpit, could play with sand and water there. :-|

My son had attended more than 5 b-parties this year but he is still exactly the same with yours. He always looks and walks around outside and even goes inside, he seldom participates in the games as well..So headache..

one way is to introduce adrian to play with younger kids. he will have more confidence to mingle with them than kids of similar age. his confidence may grow from there.

Btw, it is also very important that you and other grown-ups don't comment your kid as 'shy' in front of him. He will be concious of that and gets more shy ga. I always remind growns-up around bee not to comment on his shyness in front him. If someone say so, you can respond by saying that ' No. he is not shy. He just needs more warm up. He loves playing and knowing new friends.' This is important to raise the kid's confidence.

These are two of the good points I read. If I remember more, can share w/ you. ha. you know i am absent-minded. heee (since I have known bluestar.. HHAAAAA)

don't worry, bee is like Adrian ga. I know many boys are like that ga. You are not alone. Don't worry too much. It will take time.

I might just let Jun go to KLLC. I guess I may need to look for non-traditional type of pr school for information and backup lu. But looks like most of such type are high in school fee. I personally don't like traditional teaching method, sit-listen-not questioning-memorizing.

For Kaya toast, DON'T go to 坤記。
Their toast is vvv dry, not the thick soft type.

My cousin took us to a "coffee shop" near Orchard Road, the Phoenix Hotel side, about 3-5 min walk from Phoenix Hotel.

Tel : 6734-3910; 6734-9648

Very very nice kaya bread / toast, coffee, water-boiled eggs (if you don't mind "raw" eggs).

And they sell jars of kaya, forgot price but not expensive, 500gm@. Do remember to buy 1 or 2 jars. VVVVV yummy and highly recommended.

And remember to go to basement of Takashimaya, if you want to buy Harrods bags and teddy bears.

Very reasonable price.

If you start buying Harrods bags from Takashimaya, you might as well see if you buy more from the shop, and go apply for GST refund (after deduction of admin. fee by the dept. store).

For going around, highly recommend that you take taxis. Soooooo cheap compared with HK standards.

Need to check where I went for black pepper crab.

But it is one of those in South Coast (if I got it right).
It is quite far from the city centre, and traffic is real bad, but still cheap if you go by taxi.

Agree that we SHOULD NOT comment our kids in front of themselves and other people as "naughty", "stupid", "loose concentration", "not helpful", "useless", .... and other -ve comments. This will re-inforce his -ve thinking and undesirable behaviour.

And last week I passed by 鵝頸橋，
I found 3 old ladies there chatting,
they had their paper tigers with them but no business yet.
I think it was one of the 打小人 days.

When my son was in K1, I learn Triple P program at Public clinic. I highly recommend this course(Positive
Parenting Program) to all the parents here. They teach us how to use Positive Approach to Children's behaviour. The international schools use +approach to students too !
