You may call "IXXX" to reserve a set of NG books and ask them to transfer the books to their branch at Causeway Bay "Mainland Bookshop" (probably they have NG books in CWB branch too!).
Oh! The delivery charge for goods from Hongniba to HK is quite cheap!! It's a big problem with their payment method.
By the way, I appreciate your sharing in forum under the primary section. I totally agree with your viewpoint that encouraging children learn to read is far more important and meaningful than forcing them to get good results in Exam/dictation. I started to read with my son everyday since he was 3.5 yrs old and now he can read ORT stage 6/7 himself (but his Chinese is bad.). I'm now headache in choosing the primary school for my son. (Would you mind to let me know which school your son is studying now?)
I have ordered books thru' dangdang for at least 5 times and I'm satisfy with their services so far and no problem occured at all. .
I usually paid immediately by PayPal after confirming my orders. And I would choose "normal delivery" which cost RMB20, which is the cheapest way to get the books.
However, for my recent purchase 3 days ago, I do come accross a problem with them.
Just as usual, I paid immediately by PayPal on Nov 8 and in return I received a email from PayPal confirming the payment transaction.
To my suprise, I received a email from dangdang this morning stating that my order is still outstanding and urge my settlement of the account.
I sent email to their CS today and still awaiting for their reply.
Besides the payment problem, I found it is quite strange that I cannot choose "Normal delivery" and have to choose "Speed delivery" in the order. As there is only a differece of RMB10, I just choose the more expensive one.
I noticed that the process of transferring money using card (not sure paypal , I didn't use before) is slower recently. Last week I submitted my payment online on 3 Nov and DD confirmed my payment until 6 Nov. It seems that DD takes about 4 days to process foreign payment (previously it takes only 2 days to confirm payment). On the other hand, DD system will automatically generate email if they didn't receive payment after 3 days. Last time I'd send email to ask about my payment and they replied me that it took longer time to process payment outside China.
I suggest you to send enquiry to them using MSN (input in CHIN only.) and ask them to check your status of payment. (Next time maybe we should consider to pay COD.)
dd is very slow this few two weeks, i made an order on 20/11 but only got reply that the goods are ready this week, after that it was fast. i got the box today.

I just buy several books from DD. It takes just 2 days to receive the books. And the books are quite new and tidy.
Besides, i want to buy either 科学探索丛书生命科学 or
阅读空间. It seems like both are quite similar type. Which one is better? I read the inner page of 科学探索丛书生命科学. But how about 阅读空间? Where can i find more information?

Do you have the fax no. of dangdang customer service?
Think I need to fax to them my PayPal payment receipt to them for follow up cos they replied to me by email that they cannot read the scanned PayPal receipt from the email attachment.
