"Stuff that Scares Your Pants Off!" - is this a ghostly book, or something not so scary ?

Maybe I'll pop back to BkFair tom night n hunt again.

I'd better remember to visit Cite 1 or 2 weeks after bkfair and see what they have at less 35%.

Wow, how come so many owls here! I couldn't sleep because of tea during lunch.

KL and all,
Please suggest some ideas for birthday party. I need to organize one, in fact the first one, for my 5yo daughter in Sep. Most probably I will throw the party in a club, just a room with party food. There is only a playroom nearby but I think it's rather odd not having any entertainment. I can invite a clown but that's not very fun. Have gone to Baby Cup Cakes but not interested in their "program". KL, where was Kv's bday?

Looks like we all spend some fortune at book fair! Just read apple daily today that some publishers said they would cut book price to clear all stock, maybe on the last day!

Did u say that your building is undergoing renovation like mine? OMG, the flat above ours has changed hands & just started digging all the tiles out from kitchen & bathroom. The noise is so unbearable, I have to take the kids out the whole day while the workers are at work...... I can't have any time for myself (as I have to take them out) & they can hardly do any study during holidays!

Yes our "estate" is also undergoing renovation. Now they are digging up the ground and basement carpark then putting back tiles later. And chipping away the bricks underneath 1/F (just below us). And a lot of mosquitoes just outside our window.

This afternoon yanyan so stupidly wanted to pick up a towel she dropped onto floor of scaffolding outside and climbed out, then found she was attacked by over 50 mosquitoes on her legs ! Told her she should not go out cos very dangerous apart from all the mosquitoes.

I only got my air-con back on during the past week, removed the air-con in my room in Nov cos very old (7+y) anyway, in the past few weeks of heat depended on 1 single air-con in my mum's room which we used for cooling both her room and mine. And lots of mosquitoes in the flat cos my mum loves to open the doors / windows (no air to breathe woh !!) (My mum has dementia / alzheimers and is very unreasonable ga !)

And I am on 1/F, G/F is carpark space level plus basement carpark. You know 1/F tiles are the last ones to be done ga la.

Expect this hell to be over by Nov woh. 365 days plus about 5 extra weeks for carpark tiles, plus new walls surrounding the "estate".

No wonder many ppl sell out and move to new flats whenever they've lived there for as long as no interior deco or exterior renovation is required !

And water from the waste pipe of the larger bathroom on 2/F has been leaking since summer 2005, the flat is rented to a family with 2 dogs and they chop chop beef for the dogs everyday ! I am after the 2/F landlord to fix the leakage, they should re-do the water-proofing for the bathroom floor !:tongue:

50 mosquito bites are a lot! Sounds like your maid ran into a beehive! I just bought some mosquito repellent by Bagou & Raider, spray & liquid diffuser from supermarket. Hope it works. You should try too.

Having been covered up by foams on our windows for nearly 10 months, we expect the scaffolding to be pulled down next week. We used far too much money for buying expensive construction materials but they are not very value-for-money nor nice for the eyes. Should consult you mums here where to look for discount!

BTW, how come u are still staying up? You have work to do tmw not like me :)

Morning buddies.

If you're interested in Paintball party, you may refer to the following URL for details:

Summary of points:
1. Min requirements to take part in paintball games: aged 8 and 130cm tall

2. There are altogether 6 games during the 2 hour session. Each game lasts for around 10-15 minutes.

3. Children are divided into 2 teams and each team is guided by 2 instructors

4. All necessary gears will be provided by the centre. They include Anti-fog Safety Goggles,Original Paintball Jersey, Cargo Pants, Cal 0.4 Paintball Markers, Team Bandanna and Gloves.

5. Each child has a total of 150 paintball for the games

Boys will definitely enjoy the games a lot and find it very exciting , but it may not be the same case for girls. They liked the game "Save the President" especially.

One of the girls classmates of Kv was scared of the "loud" gun sound and not dared to shoot.....

Didn't know that they belong to a series. This is what GN4 bought, and exactly what I intend to buy from Hall 1 tonight after work.

May not have all 6 books, cos I only saw 3 last Thurs. Anyway will buy as many there is.

Bought the FamPlanning book for you, $10. Includes a free 1-yr "membership" which enables you to borrow things from the FamPlan Library too, there's a form for you to fill in.

So you need to collect from me your HK Pop Up receipt and this book.
Total = $10 + $269.10 = $279.10

Found the Big6 bookshop which sells them, but only a few titles left. Eventually only bought 2, #22 and #31 ja, total = $15.

Re : Doreamon (Ding Dong)

Found the Big6 bookshp which sells the Red box set of 45 books at $180 less 30%, but no more stock, they only have the $115 set of 24 books ja.

Another Big 6 bookshop with the Red box set did not offer any discount. Did not buy cos really no need for Doreamon comic books. If you read carefully esp about the war stories, you will see that the Jap military thoughts are there re Jap invasion of China during WW2.

Found that I bought 1 duplicate book :
Horrible Science Handbook : Famous Foul Expriments, $102 ==> $61.20
