Hi, 記唔記得我係邊個? 我係04媽咪既H&A, 之前聽bby講你會去加拿大, 原來你已經到左啦, 剛剛到步應該好忙, 我之前都係多倫多住左有10年, 自從有左兩個囡之後, 都有諗過返多倫多, 但唔知幾時返比較好, 同埋都好驚要從新開始過, 最令我擔心係工作, 因為搵工好似唔係咁易, anyway, 希望你係加拿大生活愉快, btw, 想話比你知, bby尋日生左個囡啦, 我遲d都會去見下小公主

加拿大既環境及教育對小朋友真係好好, 所以我先考慮想返加拿大, 你選擇無錯, 咁你遲d會唔會搵工, 一話全職揍小朋友, 你係多倫多有無朋友親戚, 我妹妹就係多倫多, 佢就無回流過返香港,所以係多倫多都差不多20年啦, 如果我返加拿大一定會通知你,

i don't hv 親戚 here...even friend....only 1 coupon i knew fr HK before.....will try to get use to the new enviornment.....

hi all mons,

i enrolled my son to UMP la....only under waiting lists.... then, i found that there is another one even more close to our place - Northwood Academy Bilingual Montessori, they located at 9329 McCowan Road.

Any comments/news about Northwood? Hope to get your commens/ideas....tx!!

有冇學琴老師介紹 ? 我住喺16th 街 Kennedy. 亞女學到grade 7, 啱啱搬嚟呢度, 好多activity 都要安排過. 不過而家好近angus glen library, 好方便.

Did u mean Unionville Montessori? the one located at Kennedy and 16th?

I am planning to enrol my little monster there this Nov and she will start next September (2009) when she becomes 2.

Did you go visit the school? I think it's too late for 2008 school year since they start registration on October for the next academic year anyway hope ur son get a seat asap la.

I am going for the open house on Nov 1

before submitting the application.

Currently looking for a babysitter around this area ----> headache!!

"open house" in Nov?? i though this is about selling house then to arrange an "open house" ....do you means...visiting school on their open day? sorry ha...i'm new to Canada....

It can also apply to lots of things not only to selling/buying house.
Open house here means u can go visit their school, yes. So no appointment is necessary, unlike a personal arranged visit.

my elder son (age 4) will start his JK coming 2 sept....still dun know shcool schedule, am or pm or Mon + Wd full day, etc.....

really want him to go on am session.....but we just register him mid-Jul....not much hope :-(

the girls are so excited in going back to school. my elder daughter even called me and informed me that she had got homework to do in excitement.

doggie, she is in TA team 34, mr. kennedy. which team is your godchild's cousin in? is mr. kennedy good? thx.

doggie, it seems that mr. kennedy is ok and quite responsible. we had parent's/TA interview for G.9 last night. there is only 17 students (g.9-12) in his group, total 68 TA in school. i think that the student/teacher ratio is really good, 68 TA to around 1300 students. he explained and answered questions in details; and did not urge parent to leave when it was already 8:30 pm. he still asked if any questions, answered in details until no parents got any inquiry anymore. the other group's TA said it was quite late already and ended their group meeting.
i understand more in details for the tests system, the units for each subject, how to work on assignments.
my daughter is so excited for the school band too, as the band will go to Australia in March (not for her, as G.9 only), but she will be going for a trip in G.11. she is so excited to know that the band had been going to 8 countries in europe last year and wondering where will she go in g.11, and said the best is going to japan as she is a japan fan.
she will sleepover at school tonight and go to camp outing for tomorrow and then a geography trip to the Falls in early Oct. she is really happy in this school.
she showed me her locker and had joined the Yoga club. she intended to join basketball too, but she said too tiring after the trial. her friend told me that she went pale in the first 30 minutes already. i want to find a chinese medical doctor to have some treatment for her. do you know any?

i enrolled my elder daughter in japanese class from the TDCSS (actually she searched around and asked for this); and will get credit for her high school result. my younger one is in the Mandarin and Cantonese class. Each course is only $20 for the whole year.
