Cheapest source is from Synergy, and from eBay, so far.
Actually Audreymom found a smaller book booth in Book Fair right opposite Synergy, the owner said they also have Handbooks, but may not be able to give 40% off. Maybe 30% off. But already v good ga la.

Hi BS, KL and book buddies,

Just learned that there have been over 900k people visited the BookFair and the average spending was about $490 per person. That's not small amount. The spending ability is so huge even with financial tsunami!

BTW, do you know the if 喜羊羊 videos available in the market are in Cantonese or Putonghua? I want to buy some for my kids. They love 喜羊羊 very much. I saw there are some available at TB but I don't know how to buy. Can anybody help? Each set has 44 episodes or 20+ disks and costs $158. Not bad.

I know there are either VCDs or DVDs in the market, and I saw some in BkFair (Hall 3). But was discouraged to buy right away, cos what I saw was Series #4xx to #4xx !! Imagine, if there are over 400 episodes, it would cost a fortune to own all !!

So I told piglet about the existence #4xx episodes, and let him look at episodes #1 - #8x from a website, and what's available on TV, plus the various (3) types of books (the regular comic books priced at HK$35 each from Little Sesame, the biweekly comic books priced at $15 each, and the new chapter books (only #1 published, priced at $48 sold in Bk Fair at $42, title "Spy HYY") . That's all he will get.

As a substitute to the $35@ comic books, can consider buying the Big6 version which is priced at RMB10@. I could only get 2 of these, #22 and #31, from Bk Fair on Monday night at HK$15 total ie $7.5@. (Little Sesame HK version only released up to #20 ja).

I heard from my son that he saw the Big6 VCD set of HYY at 荃豐中心 basement where my honey brought my son to buy the Wil Games last Sunday. I didn't go there before but if you go nearby Tsuen Wan can take a look.

Kv has just attended the Student Health Service today.

He has grown 9.3 cm in height during the past year, a bit beyond the 97% line. At the same time, he is overweight and has to reduce at least 3kg.

Hi KL,

My son is also overweight. In particular, after this long June when no school, no activities, just eating, sleeping, 7X24 air-conditioning, Bionicles, comics,...

Can't imagine if he can still fit into his old school uniform in Sep.

Because of stop working for a few months and then change job recently, I have successfully shed off 10+ lbs. All my clothes become loose fit. Very comfortable with such loose feeling. Moreover. I am surprised that I can fit again into those suits bought long ago before I put on weight.

Piglet is also very much overweight, but very funny : a nurse (thin herself) at Student Health Service just took piglet + another fat boy classmate + me into her room, and told the boys to eat healthily, etc etc, but did not arrange for dietician nor referral to trimming service.

Then the ENT doc also told piglet to see dietician, every time he met piglet.

And after the op his only exercise is 1 hr of TKD a week. No swimming lessons.

This Mon he went to a classmate's home and played in the swimming pool for 3 hrs. That night he couldn't sleep and found his muscles vvv sore, and you know what he did ? He whined and complained and

and

. What a baby ! I had to massage his arms and thighs, and wipe his tears, ... for an hour, then finally big pig got fed up and ordered him to sleep. Really "dai siu yeh" !

Definitely must throw him over to Outward Bound for 1 week next summer hols !
