This is the first day of my maternity leave. I have seen the diabetes nurse and my ob this morning. Blood sugar level is fine, overall controllable but I keep losing weight. So, the nurse told me to eat more protein and calcium. My ob checked me and she said that I am 2cm dilated already. She nearly wants to send me to hospital because I have virus infection and needs to take antibiotics for at least 4 hours before the baby born. Finally, she let me go home since my home is just 10 minutes drive from the hospital. My ob said that 2nd times of labor can be very fast. Since I have belly pain up to the lower back and my hips, she said that I have a chance to go into labor tonight or in a few days. Once I feel the pain, I need to go to hospital right the way. My hubby is nervous now. Last time, he worked outside and forgot his cell phone in the truck. I could not get hold of anybody. Finally, I need to call ambulance to pick me up because I was bleeding so much (placenta abruption). In SF, ambulance services cost $900 + and luckily, it was all covered by my medical plan.
So, if I don't appear for a certain days here, possibly I am in the hospital already
