But eg getting 40% discount from Synergy,
the same book in BkFair
= $128 x .6 = HK$76.8

Whereas from BkPpl
= 3.99 x 13.15 (today's Forex) x 1.3 (~30% shipping last time)
= HK$68.20

So the diff is not TOOOO great if there is a 40% discount.

Hardcover, $128 less 40% ==> HK$76.80

my son likes the HS handbook, do you know where can i buy all the other handbook at the cheapest price. Do you collect all the handbooks already. Where is the retail shop of Synergy? Will they still offer 40%??

Do you need the 2 books (CCHENG and you) urgently. I can courier back to you...

HS / HG / HH Handbooks
- cheapest from Synergy
$7x in Prof Teachers' Union
Other places more expensive.

I don't have all of them, but should have most of them. The one I don't have are usually the HH Handbooks.

We are trying to find location of Synergy
but it doesn't seem to have a retail shop
no tel no. / fax no / name on receipt from BkFair.

If you are willing to accept ~30% discount, Audreymom found another bookseller (stall in Hall 1 opposite Synergy) who MAY have these Sc Museum / Horr books. She has the tel no.

The 2 books
- yes need them back but no not urgent.
Will you be meeting Kitty in KT in near future ?

Still not enough shopping from BF :)? I tried to call Synergy for KL's Olympiad book as well but no luck, can't find them! So weird.

Saw u plan to buy some exer bks from Sgp. I have some but am quite disappointed with Sgp publishers (or authors). Take Maths for example. There are often questions where the answers are not complete. What I mean is there are more than 1 answer but the model answer (at the end of the book) only has 1 - the one that the author thinks of!!!! Not only 1 book, 1 author but several. This makes the entire book loses color as far as I am concerned.

We also watched the Mcdull x HK Sinfonietta concert last Sun night.

Yes, the lyrics written and put to the classical music is a bit 粗俗 (e.g. 悶到嘔/餓到嘔 etc). But I think this matched with the Mcdull style (i.e. a 市井 character) and it seems they intend to introduce classical music to different class of people and make it 雅俗共賞.

btw, Kv dozed off in the 2nd part of concert cos he had just come back from Cheung Chau camp site that day and was vvv tired!

Which Maths book(s) and what topic ?
I usually mark piglet's work w/o using the model answers, only go through the wrong ones with piglet. So I didn't notice anything re model answers.
(i.e. the most impt part is the Q itself - I don't need to deisgn the Qs)

We are going to watch "UP" tonight at IFC..... hope No.8 signal would not be hoisted, otherwise it would be difficult for us to catch a taxi after watching the movie!!

McD concert definitely is "俗" out of the 雅俗共賞! If Kv is awake, do you think he understands "餓到嘔"? Luckily, my son didn't pick it up & asked me what it meant!

Brain Maths 1 & Maths Olympiad (Junior 1). If u have the first book, turn to page 29. Since there is a picture there, I can't post the question here. Judging from the model answer, I have the feeling that the author is kind of tunnel visioned.
