Hi KawaiMa,
We will be skiing at Sahoro for a week. Because we really miss the crab restaurant in Sapporo, we cut short our ski trip by one day, therefore only staying at JR Tower for one night.
The crab restaurant is called Kani-Syougun (蟹將軍). They have king crabs, queen crabs, and hairy crabs from the local waters, cooked in different ways or sashimi. Extremely tasty.

The only problem is that there is not much choice if anyone in your group does not like crabs. I can PM you the map if you like (I don't know how to attach pictures here).

book左喇, 依加confirm到去程, 不過回程仲未得. 仲係waiting list, 不過仲有時間, 而我都book左jr tower, 雖則貴小小, 不過聽你地咁講, 都真係要試試, 況且同阿女去, 住好小小啦.

另外, 坐jal, 經osaka走, 朝早10點幾機, 去到係6點幾, 一樣jr tower, 但價錢平好多呀, 你地點睇....

I just tried attaching the map here, but the image does not appear when I go back to view in the discussion thread. I found their website address: http://www.kani-syougun.com. Perhaps you can check on their website.

If you go, ask to sit on the first floor. The atmosphere is much better. The seating upstairs is very "standard".

Snowmobile

If you want to play in the snow, not just play, but have some excitement, I recommend Snowmobile Land Sapporo (http://www.snowmobilelandsapporo.com/website/index.html). They provide hotel pick-up and all the outdoor clothing and safety equipment you require.

Usually, at the ski resorts the snowmobile ride is about10 or 15 minutes, and just go around the nearby area, but this one takes you on a scenic tour and you can stop to take photos. I think the experience is worth the money.

你比蟹將軍web-site d 蟹真係引死人，一定要試下至得！個map睇唔清楚唔緊要，我都睇到小小概，有得食我會周圍搵架啦你通常點叫法會抵食d？你重有冇其他好食野推介，eg.sushi or 牛排 or hot pot etc……

Yes, the pictures do look delicious! I wish I can get on a plane right now.

I have emailed to you the map and directions. Hopefully that will help you find it. It is very easy to get to from the station. Their sign is so big and bright you won't miss it.

We usually order a-la-carte because there are always some side dishes in the sets that we don't like, or they are too common that we can find in HK. We just want to concentrate on eating crab!

If you like ramen, you should go to Ramen Alley (拉麵街). Most of the restaurants in that street are good. I avoid the 中華拉麵 because I like the Japanese style more. Our favourite is 鹽拉麵. The ramen in this street are better than any where you can find in HK. We have tried other places in Sapporo, and this is still the best.

I am sorry I don't have any other food recommendations. You can try the sushi restaurants at the fish market, I heard they are very good (I forgot the market's name, but there is only one in the centre of Sapporo). The 帶子sashimi is very good too!

Mmmm, my mouth is dripping now. I better stop talking about food. :loveliness:

I will eat 拉麵 everytime when I go to Japan. It is also my favor food. 鹽拉麵，好味道 I will mark on my schedule. thank you

We usually just order from the menu. It is all in pictures so you won't have any problems. Some of their staff can speak English, so don't worry about needing to ask questions. I think they even have a Chinese version of the menu. You can just ask them.

I have been there twice, and the king crab legs and queen crab claws sashimi are delicious. You must try them. If your daughters don't eat sashimi (I won't let my son eat raw food), you can order the one cooked in butter (I forgot leg or claw). The tempura crab claws are also very good. If you want something not so dry you can have the crab shabu-shabu. Anyway, everything is good there. Just remember to sit on the ground floor.
