若果連食飯錢都無，而祇顧買名牌，那簡直就是過份呢！我亦是很愛名牌的人，簡直由頭到腳都是，若是家裡有些閒錢，買些高質素的物件滿足自己，我覺得無問題！

至於別人的看法，由得他們吧！著得好或者唔好，都可以俾人話。著得好些，起碼會比人讚下呀！

I think life is too short and so if you feel happy wearing your pajama while carrying your Croc Kelly or Birkin, why not! Actually now that I try to visualise it, that will look very cool, very Kate Moss-ish!! Haha

This thread is very interesting, I never thought about how people will look at women carrying Hermes bags. I guess it is because I work in Central and I see ladies carrying Hermes bags everywhere!

其實有樣野我想講好耐, 近呢幾年Hermes咁hit大紅大紫, 都係多得大劉呢位富豪既女友用到上晒報紙先"tum"一聲越來越紅, 十年前我諗無咩人會講Hermes呢隻牌子, Hermes真係要多謝劉生呢位免費代言人幫佢宣傳到咁紅又咁多人買, 仲好過出天價請d明星做代言人賣廣告

我認識Hermes，反而是DoDo姐係【男歡女愛】日日拎住個birkin返公司，一副女強人look，那個形象還是歷歷在目呢！講講下，套電視劇都應該有十年了。

我現在主攻BV，到今天為止，還未曾擁有過Hermes呢！

Hermes呢隻牌子有就有左好耐, 不過認真紅起黎都係呢幾年既事, Hermes真係要多謝大劉呢幾年為佢帶來咁多生意(免費宣傳)

Same here, in the past i used Gucci, LV, etc... then BV, then Chanel... but Hermes seems unreachable! I don't like to buy from xxstation, but it seems impossible to buy from Hermes shops, so may be still stick to Chanel now!

Also, birkin is too elegant to use, i always wear quite causal and afraid can't match the birkin look!

Actually the birkin goes well with casual clothes, esp. the ones made with grainy leather.

I ordered my first Birkin at the Pacific Place Hermes shop exactly 10 years ago (in 1999). At that time they even took out the swatches for the leather to let me pick color and leather etc. Interestingly, guess who was sitting next to me at the shop choosing between diff Kelly bags? Mr. Lau's wife Lau Bo Wing Kum!

I had sold a 35cm Etoupe Birkin to Milan Station about 8 months ago, they gave me HK$65,000 for it.

this is a growing thread.
one of the reasons why hermes esp birkin gains increasing popularity is its relative high resale value. u may only get back two third from a chanel or half from a cabat, whereas u can enjoy profit when investing in a birkin. just like a property investment, u earn the benefit of using it and then u retain the acquisition price when u resell it, plus a mark-up occasionally. hence, if u hv extra $$$ and not gonna support the rights issue of hsbc, u may invest in H items and get good returns.

imho, dun settle for less than the best. if birkin is ur true love, stick with it.

May I know if you need to be a Hermes VIP or need to buy lots of non-birkin items from Hermes before you can order a birkin from Hermes shop? I haven't asked a Hermes SA before of how to order a birkin as ii always think it is impossible to find.

35cm Etoupe birkin is such a beautiful bag, how come u will sell it ar? If i can buy such a bag, i will keep it forever! The color is so pretty!

actually i like Kelly more than Birkin, because I can wear Kelly on my shoulders. It looks so chic when wearing on shoulder with a pair of jeans+T-shirt. it can be very elegant looking if u carry it on hands without the strap.

considering for a So Kelly as my next H bag (maybe after 2-3 years). This bag is a carried over the shoulder Kelly style bag without detachable strap, more modern looking. But at the same price, rather get a Kelly, which is one of 2 icon bags of Hermes.

Yes, agreed to buy grainy leather. i rarely use my Veau Graine Couchevel leather H (which is like box leather, easily scratchable). Yesterday I used it for only 2 hours, I made 2 scratches- 1 with my finger nail and another a scratch card which 7-eleven gave me. O, how i wish i did not buy $30 worth of magazines.

You can call H shop to check their stock before your visit. There are always a few Kelly bags around among all shops.

Hi fatping1:

No I am hardly an Hermes VIP, it's just that I started buying my bags + scarves etc. from them many years ago when the brand was not so popular. So I get to know some of the sales assistants quite well.

It is indeed very difficult to get a Birkin from the HK shops these days I was told. I sold my 35cm Etoupe Birkin simply because the size is too big for me. I have ordered a 30cm one in the same color + gold hardware, am now waiting for it to arrive.

I personally think the Birkin bag is easier to use, as I always leave the top open and put a shawl on top of my things in the bag. The Kelly is a nice bag also, it's just that if you leave the straps unbuckled and just close the flap, then it puts alot of strain on the hardware. That is why I prefer the Birkin.

If you like a shoulder bag, I strongly suggest you check out the Lindy bag. It is a shoulder bag and can also be used as a handbag, very roomy and stylish looking. It has now become my favorite bag for everyday use.

Headache Headache, Don't know what color to choose. My friend will go to France this month and ask me of which color I am looking for-although not always can get what you want. But still I really don't have a clu of the color (No black, No brown, No too colorful color niether). Want dark unique color-like olive, dark purple.....

The Lindy bag in the 30cm (smallest) size, would be HK$45,000 in all leather and around HK$33,000 in the leather + toile (fabric) material, if you buy them in HK.

I bought one 2 weeks ago from Paris, all leather for only Euro 3,150 (HK$31,500) net of tax. So alot cheaper if you get them in Europe.
