You are so nice :)Thank you!
So do you think that US has a guideline for issuing green cards to ensure everybody is aligned?
I put China as the Country of Birthday on the forms not sure if it was wrong... or they will ignore it as long as I was born in hk they will just proceed in hk’s line :(
Also interesting that they changed your country of birth from hk on gc to hksar on passport. Does it mean they follow whatever passport you were holding?
Chinese and Indian lines are very very long. And Yes it is based on the country of birth. I think it is likely that they will put you in the Chinese line since you put China as your country of birth. You may want to ask the professional to clarify this.
When I filed my GC, it was sponsored by employer and the employer hired an attorney to do all the documents. The attorney decided to put Hong Kong as my country of birth because the processing line is much shorter.
As for why they put HK on my GC and HKSAR on my US passport, I think they just use whatever you put in your applications.
Oh then your attorney should be right I claimed I also have BNO so I don’t know how they will put this
Was thinking they should not follow whatever I filled cause I could put other countries as well which is not the fact.
Wondering if they have a guideline to issue green cards but anyway thank you for your help!
