No, the law for 外籍傭工 is even better than HK employee.
My new maid arrived just for 3 weeks and the whole family suffered for 3 weeks! I don't mind they are stupid but I do really care that they are dishonest and not responsible! In fact, I don't think they are stupid. If you try not to pay them on time, they will definitely remember and keep asking!
Ask 勞工處 about 'Fire' her and the staff told me I have to give/pay 1 month notice! I argued why it allows employer provide 7 days notice for HK employee in probation period, why it doesn't apply to overseas maid?!
We pay tax to support 勞工處 but 勞工處's rule protect overseas maids!
We either accept the maid no matter how bad she is or pay $3670+holidays+$100 trip allowance+air ticket+time to arrange a new maid! The worse is working moms don't even have enough time to take care kids but still have to spend time handling those maids!
Also, we have to buy medical insurance for them! So many HK employee doesn't have medical insurance!
