Yeah, we were like 30mins late to the seminar... they were doing the Mandarin demo class already. We were in group-A during the tour, paired up with the Chinese-head-teacher and one of the vice-principal. To be honest, so far for the 4 places visited, I will put 禧年 as the last. I don't see it as a fit for our daughter.

Nowadays, generally speaking all Primary school that can remain and survive, are all "good" school. It's a matter of whether it fits your child and the parents' expectation.

Today went to 培僑書院's seminar, it was another learning experience. The more schools visited, the more learning/information I can use to create my "ideal school checklist" =)

以前我一心諗住報循道衛理就算,不過原來親身去睇過,聽過,感受過先會知邊間適合自己小朋友囉~!

我本來想去培喬,可惜有事去唔到!

至於靈糧,我老公都話嘉賓演講果PART好好,得益良多咁話...!

Other than MOS, we also spread our net wide to a few of the DSS and Private school (such as DGSJ, etc etc... doesn't hurt to try)

Just wonder other than 津貼 & 官立 school, what are some of the 直資 (DSS/Direct Subsidy Scheme)'s school under your radar? School such as 培僑?

Other than that, how about 私校?

Care to share some idea?

The principal mentioned that during last Friday information seminar. Said it will be on a Saturday Jan 22, which is the day when 統一派位 phase will start.

BTW, if any parents interested 陳元喜 will have a weekly seminar for 5 week Friday's night, and then a conclusion night on Saturday right before Christmas.

你有20分(+宗教分), 其實你可以試試火炭的培基, 因為它是以英文為主, 數學和科學都是英文教, 中文不算太深, 有些混血兒都會入讀, 值得試一試.

longfung, thanks for the suggestion. Would you say is one of the popular pick among parents? We are going to read a bit more in the in Edu-kingdom forum.

BTW, as for points... after attending a handful of informational seminar, I believe we just have 10-points (5 for 1st born, 5 for being Christian). The other 10-points that some might added as 適齡學童, more or less every kids applying have that!

Just want to ask if there's an "easy" way to find out how many/where are the "BAND 1" + "英文' + "基督教" 中學 within Net 89/91?
The more we study about 小一, the more it becomes apparent to us that's one of the HUGE factor to be considered also...

BTW, just wonder any schools you have found th give interview chance to all applicants, not limiting to only 適齡? e.g. for 2011-2012 年度小一 generally are for children born in 2004 年 9 月 1 日至 2005 年 12 月 31 日.

你小朋友唔係適齡入學? 其實20分在培基都不是入硬, 但在第二輪大抽獎都有很大的機會.
至於基督女青年軍在培基都很吃香, 據說都要輪選的.

係呀! 培基根本是無open day, 不過今年是培基的廿周年校慶,所以才有open day, 日期是11月12, 13日(星期五, 六)

培基是會interview所有在小一入學表中選培基為第一志願的小朋友, 去年就見了200多個學生, 我都識些小朋友是第三輪叩門入的.
