I've been shopping for Chin books from 國風堂 in MKK ever since Idea closed.
Their conversion rate is now x1.3 usually.

Just found they are selling some ORT advanced levels, Chin name is called 典范英語 Good English, published by Qunyan Press (群言出版社), www.qypublish.com
Level 6, 18 books (around ORT Level 10+) plus 1 VCD in MP3, RMB 65 ==> HK$117 nett
Level 7, also 18 books plus 1 VCD, RMB 76.5 ==> HK$137.7 nett
Level 8, 14 books plus 1 VCD, RMB 80 ==> HK$144 nett
Level 9, 14 books plus 1 VCD, forgot RMB, ==> HK$ 173.7

What about the City advent calendar, will it be cheaper to order from US TRUs?

BTW, Jun is still on leave at home, slight fever this morning, will stay home to another 1-2 days before real school year starts

Calc for City adv calendar :

USTRUs, US$34.99 x 1.07 (add 7% for visa payment) x 1.3 (around 30% for courier) x 7.95 forex x 1.5 / 2 = HK$290.2

Sing BWorld, Sing$36.9 x 5.9 forex = HK$217.7

Seems Sing BWorld cheaper, and costs are safer, whereas not sure of courier charges exactly if buy thru TRUs woh.

Sing BWorld delivered my Lego orders to my cousin's flat yesterday, but forgot 1 item - the girls magnet, so they e-mailed me to see if I agree to get it later with my next order, and I said yes. That means, I think, that the Series 2 has already been delivered as well gwa. But don't want to call my cousin cos $$$$ haha.

For Lego City 8408, the cost of 2 sets = US$99.99 x 1.5, i.e. average cost of each set = US$99.99*1.5/2= US$75 ==> ~HK$829.4 by the time it arrives in HK, assuming that courier charge is 30% of item cost (but never sure and never the same cos it all depends on the weight of the set and the size of box used by TRUs, which is beyond control).

Actually if you can find the set in PTU (but I haven't seen it there yet, PTU is 80% of HK TRUs px nowadays), it is round about the same px as PTU, so really not worth doing so much haha.

Maybe I should just forget the buy 1 get 1 at 50% in US TRUs.

Your Lego BMaster Atlantis is in my office, when would you like to collect ? Up to you, I'm free to deliver after work if WC MTR.

Can order the advent calendars from Sing BWorld any time, but need to check GN4, LSW, ... if they also want it. Never enough time on my hands.

Most sorry for having fly the airplane on you last night. My boss decided to ga with RMB bond subscription and I had to check with the other bosses for their consent at v short notice. Tonight I need to fetch piglet from TST if he can swim, otherwise free. Fri night definitely no problem.

Then, order from Sing la. Both Cith & Kingdom x1 advent calendar for me.
I went to PTU Wanchai 3 weeks ago, not much stock. Need to find time to visit the MK one.
Jun is still taking sick leave at home, recommended by the doctor to stay away from school germs...will start school year next week

Jun fever has not gone yet and was submitted to the hospital yesterday for thorough body check. He will have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. Luckily, -ve on flu test. Blood test is normal. Temperary confirmed as inflammatory on ear, noise and throat. On drip and antibiotics treatment.

I have to stay overnight with Jun. On shift with Junpa. Junpa comes in the morning, so I can go to work. I go to the hospital after work.
Expected we need to stay for 7 days. Still have fever this afternoon but new findings- 疱疹
Jun應該吾係一開始由皰疹(疱疹)引至燒甘耐，係身體弱，比各類病毒有機可乘，病完一樣到一樣.
Jun可能對呢d菌比較敏感，打完水痘針都出兩次水痘

BS, let me know when SW brickmaster is ready, so sure this will be one of the best medicine!

Once we went to St.T at 3am (the time piglet cut his thumb !) and yanyan said she saw a few XX around, so scary. HK Sanat is OK but I don't walk in the corridors at night.

Lego 2011 USA calendar, From US lego.com, US$9.99 ==> around HK$104 by the time it arrives in HK.

HP sets are on pre-order and will ship ~1 Oct.
The entire collection costs around HK$3525, cheaper to buy from US than Sing. Entire collection costs around HK$37xx from Sing you see.

If order now ==> free shipping by lego.com to US Oregon address, i.e. saves 5% of cost. sei mei !!

Free shipping for USA local shipping up to 18 Sept only ga ja. Next time should be around Nov just before Christmas shopping.
