'Routes to Writing' seems difficult to evaluate woh. But it sounds more teacher resouces than for home use. Better try before buying. Only a CD-ROM right?

Some info. extracted below about Routes to Writing (RtW) for your reference:

RtW provides you with an effective way to teach writing through:

1. model texts that hihglight key text features
2. differentiated texts and activiteis that improve all your pupils' wirting skills
3. fun and easy to use software to help demonstrate writign on an interactive whiteboard (in that CD-ROM)

It has 3 steps: 'shared writing', 'guided writing' and 'independent writing'.

Piglet has utmost confidence in himself ga woh.
Admitted that there were some which he didn't know. Forgot how to write "brush" as in "brush his teeth" (Chin) !!

And again nose bleeding while swimming in TST YMCA today. Said himself that he will be off McD for 1.5m. Believe it or not.

And refused to see Chin doc because he feared that the Chin medicine will be bitter.

Once he is old enough to protest against this and that,

Nose bleeding partial culprit = small pack of potato chips !

I went to greenfield and bought the sets of Essential tonight. Originally, I want to buy Pack A first but finally I bought all Packs A-C :-P As I want to buy some books other than ORT and the story was:

When the teacher (NET) read ORT stage 1 (Six in a bed) at school on wed., my son said "Holman is boring"

The NET change the book immediately. (indeed, my son can already read this book by himself -- maybe he only recognises the picture but not the words)

surprisingly, the essential packs @ greenfield are cheaper than that sells @ sing. popular, besides, hk version have cd-rom but sing. version don't have ?-(

Order there, pay there and have them sent back by sea (may even have tax free) but need someone based in Spore to help in paying the postage which is unknown until weighed.

Can do the ordering and paying when I get there, but why ever don't they accept pre-signed credit card for payment ? Such a silly arrangement. I don't mind leaving them a pre-signed chit woh.

Ah yes, sending by sea may mean tax free, whereas if a Singaporean personal courier delivers we save on mail charges but lose on tax free.

Any way out for win-win situation ?

Then what about MK VCDs for bee ?

Option 1: Order by email 2 mths in advance, pay at e-store/ in person thru a Spore contact, collect in Singapore and bring back (cons: heavy, ineffective if using email and mr X is diff to contact; pros: save postage and tax)

Option 2: Order in person in Spore, have sbd to pay postage upon arrival of books (ppl will do the postage any way but just need to settle the postage bill in person). (cons: not much coz the postage is very limited by sea (HK$280 for 30 kgs but taking 1 mth's time); pros: effective if the one who helps out doesn't mind helping; can still save tax with some arrangement with ppl. There is at least a precedent case...

)

But it will take time to clarify with PPL what packages they have (w/ or w/o CD, w/ or w/o teaching cards, & w/ or w/o other accessories)

Btw, my sister, after seeing my whole set of ORT at home, she wants to order too!!
