I am interested in homeschooling too.
My girl is still young, so I am considering this as an option at least during pre-k.
This is because I will be leaving work and resume studying.
This may be an option. I can think of few advantages:
1. You know your child's unique abilities and teach at her own pace, in a style that is suitable for her.
2. You can be creative and incorporate useful home, life, and moral skills which may be lacking in some school program
3. You can spend more time with your child rather than wasting time - transportations etc.
I don't have formal teaching background but my jobs often involve teaching and lecturing.
I have started using library books, simple educational toys and day to day materials to teach my little girl.
