Yes.
We are required to provide the helper with the return ticket as stated in the contract. Therefore, you have to provide them with the ticket but if they don\'t use the ticket, it\'s not your problem at all.

This is not the answer I got from labour department. They actually recommended us to provide an airticket.
If you give them cash and they used the money for something else and ended up with no money to purchase an airticket, you HAVE TO buy them another one.
Therefore, don\'t pay them cash.

I always use credit card and they will refund to my card.
If you use credit card, you need to verify the card by sending the airline some information in advance. You don\'t need to go to the airport with the helper.

Then tell the maid if I pay you the money and you use it for other purpose. In that case you will have to pay an extra amount for the ticket so you refuse to pay cash instead.

Meanwhile, I understand that some of the airlines charge no show fees. Does this really work?

剛上中華航空網業睇了下，訂票須知有哩條：

10.若以信用卡經由網路購票者，請您於去程機場報到時，必須與購票持卡人同行，且需出示此次購票之信用卡供檢查核對。未攜帶信用卡、姓名/卡號不符合或購票持卡人未同行，您及您的同伴將須重新購票登機。

甘我豈不是要同工人一齊去機場搞登機手續？

There is actually not an option at all for the maid to choose airticket or cash.
Also, one of my maid actually said she must fly on Cathay Pacific which is not true at all. They don\'t get to choose the airline as well.

Regarding no show fees -
Yes some T&Cs states that there will be no show fees but you need to choose one that doesn\'t have no show fee. Check the T&Cs.

You can verify the credit card in advance (by email or fax). No need to go to the airport with the maid.

但我agent同我講話如果我買機票買邊一日, 係需要工人同意, 大家互相協商的,最好買之前白字黑字俾佢確認埋。請教下你問入境處時有冇email往來?方唔方便借來參考。好想確認下到底法例要求邊樣先岩。我驚一陣佢玩野存心到期冇走到,又係要我俾返錢買過張機票。
