Don't worry too much. I am sure everyone in your family will accept and support this baby. Don't be silly in giving up this baby, if I were you, I will defintely keep the baby. I am 23 weeks pregnant as you are and totally understand the enjoyment of having a baby moving inside.
Talk to more people if you are unhappy. I am sure everyone in BK is happy to give you support!

Thanks to Joycelyn for such a nice poem!
Please Don't think that way. You are the one who give him/her the life. You are the mother. This is not something that you want. This is just fate. Maybe you should think that it is already fortunate that the flaw is not a big defect/major organ failure, etc.
It's natural that you feel sorry about the baby because you love baby so much. Share your feeling with your husband and all the close relatives that you can trust. That can help you a lot.
One thing I am not sure is how would your 99 and father-in-law respond. (My own 99 is not a very understanding type of person. That makes me worry about you. I hope yours is better.) Ask your husband to tell them at a good time. Ask him to tell them how you feel and don't give you pressure. I wish I know your husband so that I can tell him how to deal with it.
Good luck. Your baby can still be a very cute baby despite the minor flaw. I have seen pictures of babies (in book) who have cleft lips but doesn't really reveal when they grow up since the operation was done right after they born and it recover very well. Pray for you. I know you will have the courage to face anything to protect your own baby.
poohpooh123,
Yes. Don't worry too much now. You should keep youselves happy so that your baby will become healthier. Your conditions will have direct impact on your baby.
There's really nothing you can do right now. So, keep being optimistic and prepare for the worst. Read more books about how to take care of the baby in case there is really some problem. I guess your knowledge in the issue can help you through in case anything happens. I wish your baby will be alright and the ultrasound scan is just too blur to mislead the doctor.
We, expecting mother, should all take good care of our own health and not worry too much. Remember, happy mothers will have happy babies. Cheers.
