How can I extend/renew her contract for one year? I do not want to terminate her after one year. There will be a bad record for her.
ANS:{The standard is 2 years per contract. What you can do for her is to give her a good release letter both to the Immigration and to your maid when she leave your house. You can state in your contact number for her future employer reference and to call you to verify if required.}

So, she still can find new employer. But one thing I can’t understand is that she said she need to report to Immigration on April 10 & that is her last day to stay in HK. So, we can’t process the contract to Phili. Consulate right now. Is it right? Or she want to hold the job & in the meantime to find a better job, as this is her last chance, otherwise, she need to go back to Phili.

ANS:{I don't quite understand what the maid means. But as according to my understanding, she should go to Philippine Consulate first to process her contract with you. The contract normally will be release in 3 days. As Consulate will be closed for the Easter Holiday, she can bring the receipt from the Consulate to show to the HK Immigration on the 10th April about her processing with you.}

Tks. So, I think the maid is "riding a cow & finding a horse". When she find a better job, she may not want to work with me, as I have a one yr old & 5 yr old kids. Do you think so? So, she delayed to submit the contract to Philip. Consulate till the end of her visa stay in HK on April 10 (as this is her last chance to get employer as she broke one before). Do you think so? 點解一定要用六個月為期呢?唔係俾多一個月錢,係成個半年term餘下幾多都唔可以要返. 究竟邊個定出來D咁既限制呢?點解唔係用月為單位(每月400的僱傭稅), 我唔介意冇左4月剩左的,但係而家係講緊5月中至8月中喎,$1200!!!
