?-( ?-( Don't understand ah.... Auntie is so troublesome! Why would you miss her? She used to visit me every 3 months. But after gave birth to Isaac, she would visit me every month. I don’t like her frequent visiting. Or because her visit will make you feel better and kind of carefree?

1.5 years = 9 months (pregnancy) + 7 months (after delivery)

Yes, I'm still BF but the frequency drops alot laaa... coz I want to stop it when Joshua reaches 8 months old...

but why still auntie not come???

Yes, I enjoy the carefree period but... you know... like something missing...

I also tried to pass my son to the maid to clean his ng ng whenever possible. It's so smelly, especially now that he is eating a variety of solid.

Thanks a lot for the info. Paulina, which Swindon did you find your copy? I also prefer the English book as there may be mis-interpretation in the translation.

I'm thinking whether I should buy the blank cardboard paper or order the printed card from a BK mom in 教育小組 which is $0.8 per card. Though it's more expensive, I may order the printed card as I don't want to worry about all the ink of my handwriting my son would have eaten.

I just notice GC will still have sale on Fri/Sat. Anyone interested to go?

I have printed the flash card file from web site and thinking of putting them on the ordinary card-paper. Don't know it works or not.

Dymock just call me that the book is on stock now. Please go and check it out.

未 bor... I still BF twice a day... have already reduced from 6 times a day to 4 times a day to 3 times day, now 2 times a day... hope I could have once a day next week...

我會小心架嘞!其實我都好似妳咁諗,一日未嚟一日都當自己有咗先!講開又講ar,早排老公先問我諗唔諗住生多個,如果一個夠晒數嘅話,佢就走去紥咗佢喎,不過未必有得番轉頭,所以佢叫我諗清楚,今日同個醫生傾開,佢就話如果我係有咗嘅話就梗係我紥喎,橫掂做開,同埋易d番轉頭.因為我哋兩個都覺得用套唔舒服,所以係好危險,而我嘅身型問題,婦科醫生又唔建議食避孕丸,打避孕針佢又話會攪亂d period,唉!真頭痕!我有時覺得有小皓一個加埋老公就夠,但有時又會諗多個陪小皓會好d,好鬼矛盾!發吓up風啫,唔好介意!我好煩呀呵?
至於我條疤呢,講真句我真係唔係好覺佢存在,冇痕又冇吉喎!
咁如如今晚好好多嘞呵?嚟緊四日假,如如會好番同妳歡渡佳節!

Have you tried the set you took last time? Does you son like it? I personally don't think you need to buy one new set from Singapore... I'd suggest you to invest $8 on it (you know what I mean... ) and leave the $600 for other sets. Mother Goose is like a snack, it cannot be the main dish for a meal, you could spend the money on other educational sets which are really teaching knowledge.

For 6-12m, I'd suggest one set for phonics, one set for reading/words, one set for shapes/colors, one set for music/songs. In this way, you won't duplicate and can concentrate on one set. 1-2yrs, you can add one set for science/living things and one set for general education; also, you could try some more difficult phonics/reading/words/songs/music and replace the old one.

Actually, most of the things available in SG can be found in HK, or you could find some good substitue. E.g. the sales in GC, the sales in Kiss My Kids, I personally think they are all good deals, and have enough choices for us to choose. If you could wait, there is another big book sales in the coming summer (Sept). I went to their sales last year, lots of schools went there for books as well. I got many good books, however, they only have sales once a year.

What exactly are you looking for? Which area? Let me know which area you are looking for, and maybe I could share with you what options I came across myself...

Sorry for the late reply, was busy at work today... I read the chinese version, sorry that I could not help. However, I will give it a try for amazon.com.

For GC, they have sales for March, when you surf its website www.gc.hk, you can find lots of products are actually having sales for March and everyone gets the same max. discount like the blue card member, so, you don't need to use the coupon to enjoy the discounts for most of the products (e.g. Phonics Kids is one example, you don't need the coupon or membership card, you can get the same discount as us)... however, I don't know when this sales will end, you'd better check with GC.

For the BE's cards, actually, it is not exactly a flash card, it is a kind of "picture card". Alicia also loves to eat them, she has left many tooth-prints on the cards already.

Glad to know all of us are so keen in teaching the babies, maybe we could start a new topics and share the expr with others.

forgot to mention today... I highly recommend to visit the "Kam Ting" kid bookstore in TW, I used to spend 1 whole day of each weekend there reading the different children books when I worked in TW

I found another playgroup which fits your req (more exercise) but fails your another req (both parents to attend together):

I forgot who mentioned about Letterland earlier today. My understanding is that Letterland is good for "bigger" babies, e.g. 1.5-2yr will be a good time to start as they could start making the sounds and follow the program. For babies at this age like ours, Letterland may not be a good choice, however, it will definitely be a good choice next year . I'd suggest Phonics Kids as it is easier for 6-8m old babies to follow. Another reason is that Phonics Kids is easy for PARENTS like us to use and not much to invest (~HK$250 now). For first-time parents like us, we have no expr in teaching babies and most of us don't know phonics ourselves, if we choose complicated products to start with, this will just add pressure to us...

This is just my 2 cents... :wink: :wink:

All,
I went to the central baby store (the same one in Ap Lei Chau) with jolly today... no big surprise, the things are expensive (most of them are sold at listed price), it is similar to "Ho Fa', i.e. you can buy many things in 1 place.
