All, 2nd batch of 1/2 yr old birthday party photo CDs will be sent out tomorrow. For those mums who are in batch #2, pls check mailbox next week and let me know if you could not receive it or have problem in opening the files.
FYI, my Doman's copy was brought in Kelly & Walsh in Pacific Place. However, that book was out of stock in there and the shopkeeper then subscribed a copy from another branch (ie Swindon) to there for me.
I've started to teach Joshua with the Doman's flashcard which were all home made cards. Hagrid, I also looked into the forum which you mentioned in the 'educational group' for subscribing blank flashcard (22" x 6") but finally after I read the book and discussed with my colleaque who also use this method to teach her sons successfully, I decide to do the cards myself (coz I want to start to teach Joshua ASAP).
Actually not difficult at all if you don't mind to do some artwork. I use the 'marjong paper' although it is not perfectly white in colour, cut it into the shape and size as specified in Doman's book. Buy a felt pen (red) with biggest pont for writing and that's all.
Maybe when the time I was in U, I've trained to write these stencil letters and therefore I found no difficulty in writing these big words and within the lunch hour, I've prepared 30 cards already and that can enough for me to teach him for 6 days.
I want to built up a library of vocab to teach Joshua, nn, any idea?
nn, I agree with your that letterland is more suitable for a toddler more than a baby and therefore I'll leave Joshua to study this when he becomes a toddler.
Yeap, I think I'm very keen on studying how to teach Joshua before he enters kindy or primary school coz I truly believe that pre-school education is very very important to a baby/toddler/kid... even when he grows up. In 0-2 years old, I'll concentrate on language coz I think if he can have a good foundation on languages in Chinese and English, it's much easier for him to learn other things.....
So, I'm still looking for the putonghua learning set??? where can I find the 'small sun publisher' as your set arrrr????!
paulina,
Let me call the distributor of the Mandarin set and ask them where are their booths next week. I could only call them next Tue as it is public holidays these few days and the no. I have should be an office no.
