其實我大家姐已經無做nurse好耐架喇, 佢做左full-time housewife 10幾年, 而且大我more than15yrs+, 佢even做左housewife之後我都仲未入行(nursing), 所以我淨係記得佢同我講過咁多咋....
其實外國既CNS同本地既CNS係好唔同, 因為hk 既CNS係隸屬醫院既, 淨係上門做d foley, wound dressing, r/t, drug supervision, physio之類既野, 唔需要晌community做一d primary health既野, 反而CGAT( community geriatric assessment team) nurse and DH 既nurse會做多d health ed, health promotion之類既角色, 所以hk CNS既 role 同US, Canada等既CNS真係有d分別, 仲有workload都好唔同添~ 我家姐都有叫我考慮去us做, 不過我都係鍾意hk既生活多d, hehee~

dear 各位姐妹...
we took Amanda to take the Gifted and talented exam(資優兒童) from department of Education (NY state) at Jan,08 and we got the result this evening.

Amanda's total GAT score percentile rank is 99%
otis-lennon school ability test is 99%
bracken school readiness assessment is 97%

we were wonder.. why all children took the exam over an hour, and Amanda came out after 22 mins.. I thought, she did not listen and follow instruction at all.

Now, Amanda got the scholarship.. and she can attend the special Gifted school for free..
We are very happy about it..

Total agree wtih yam yam ma. I have been an ICU for years. Now I work in a new hosptial and quite down for the new changes. I alway look this page and hope to find someone to support me. Does anyone want to resign after giving birth? I really want to take care my bb at home but I get big economic burden from family la.

same here.. as Gabriel in born with all the medical problem, but I have to return to workforce.. I did CPR on him for 2 times when he was only 1st month old..
is that scary??
However, I am the bread maker, I got no choice, therefore, the way to keep him "no to be too sick", I continue breast feed him, I pump milk from work 2-3 times. I work 12 hours shift (therefore I can just work 3 days as full time), I work at night, so I got more time to skin to skin him in the day .. I had never sleep more than 3 hours in a roll.
If I quit my job, I bet, we need to sell our house, and cars, and rent a place, but that is not possible.. finanical issue is a big crisis for us.
Every one asked me, as I have 2 children, I should stay home to be a stay home mom, but I can't tell..
they will not believe that how little my husband can make every month every he works very hard and over time.

not at all.. once you got 1 gifted child at home.. that is the beginning of nigth mare..
at least, we can find the correct education for her.. now.. we can leave the "rock" from our shoulder.. -- but carry on our hands.. with school.. (I believe.. to educate a child.. it is the job between home and school).

我都想唔做,雖然我老公都可以養我,但係生活一定冇而家咁樣!!我覺得為左個女,我係要做野,等佢有一個比較好既生活!!我覺得小孩有好既生活先至能夠開心成長!!
有時睇電視話冇$$都可以好開心咁生活,我唔信!!好簡單,小朋友一定人有我有,見到人地有$$買野,佢冇$$買一定唔開心,唔通真係話冇$$冇得買咩??好似而家興Summer holiday去外國交流,個個同學都去,你冇得去,咁小孩一定唔開心!!
不過我好彩我d同事好好,剩係個老細衰!!
