not many ppl have compassion to start something like this. i am sure u see something big in this & should definitely keep up the good work. to give something back to the community with your knowledge doesnt cost a thing. forget about XX會, dont wanna named names but i heard how they used their funds for personal purpose. no kidding.
funny how all of a sudden, ppl start thinking it's a great idea after your acknowlegement. well anyway, i am sure all bk mom would respect ur decision either way & don't mind sharing the work to make all this possible.

About Night Feeding

Hi all moms:

Can you share the experience about when you can stop night feeding for your baby? Do you train your baby or it just happen naturally? My friend's baby doesn't need night feeding when she's 2.5 month old ... is that the time that it would happen?

I know it's too early for Terence to quit night feeding, I am just curious ... I heard about a book called "Dr. Denmark said it" which suggests feeding infants every 4 hours so as to extend infants' sleep at night ... in the book reviews, some moms even trained their infants who are only few days old with this method and said it was successful, do you think it's true? On the other hand, I also heard that we need to feed baby on demand ... please advise.

I would say feed on demand. When the baby grows older, he will automatically adjust the sleeping hours. My son did not sleep thru the night until 4 months old but my sisster's boy started to quit when he's 1 month old. Therefore, every baby has his own pattern. Also, premies and over-due baby are different too. Amanda still need night feeding, usually 1 time but yesterday she wanted 2. Even though it's tired that I need to pump 2 times and feed her 1 time at night, I still sort of expect her to adjust by herself. If the baby has a small stomach, he may need more frequent feeding, either day or night. Terrence is still young and I don't think that you need to worry now.

I would say about the night feed should better be wean by natural.
Infant needs to be fed frequently base on needs. Because their stomachs are very small, and can not hold too much milk (calories).
I will not force infant to wean off night feed because the infant will loss calories very quick, and in return, the infant will not gain as they suppose to be.
For 1 months old, they suppose to be feed every 4 hours. and some babies do wean night feed by 2.5 months. Amanda is one of those (and she is super obese baby, so the pedi did not say a word).
As we planned to be parents, I wish, every of us will understand that it should not because for our conveinence to wean off infant's night feeding. If anyone can not tolerate to give the bottle over night, that is a suggestion

IF infant night feed is 10pm,2am, 6am
then one of you will feed the infant at 10pm, then go to bed, then wake up and feed the infant at 6am
another one of you will feed the infant at 2am and then go back to sleep.

For pedi's point of view, infants are safe to wean off night feed after 6 months old

我之前問e生,佢都話bb想食夜奶就餵俾佢食.Corey都食到9 months先介.如果你想幫Terence介夜奶嘅話都最好make sure佢maintain 75% in weight.

Dorisbee,
你可以考慮帶細細上Disney Cruise ga.佢哋好多activities都啱小朋友.
