Finally have the announcement

曾蔭權宣布，因全球油價及糧食價格急升，令基層及中層生活受到很大影響，他決定推出總值110億元的利民紓困措施，以下為10項相關措施。

1)港鐵推出學童半價優惠
2)再免2個月公屋租金
3)向合資格學生派發最多1000元的開學津貼
4)增派2個月的高齡津貼
5)增1個月的[url=]綜援
[/url]及傷殘津貼
6)豁免2年外傭徵費
7)增半年1800元電費補貼，令全年總額增至3600元
8)撥出1億元作為短期食物援助
9)凍結政府收費1年
10)與[url=]消委會
[/url]合作，增加超市等物品價格的透明度，進行格價。
曾蔭權表示，政府將於本周五向立法會財委會提出撥款申請，但由外傭徵費涉及修改附屬法例，所以要到9月才可實行。

我今個暑假乜都無幫呀仔同呀女報呀 .... 佢地會放一個悠長假期 (悶死佢地)

Yes, we can benefit from it, cos

"但由外傭徵費涉及修改附屬法例，所以要到9月才可實行" as

1) new contract will definitely benefit from it as many employers are now hold on to the employment contract or provisional contract until the effective date;

2) as the issue of the supplementary law will be in Sep and will therefore fine tune the details by the Immigration Dept, for those who has paid the levy in advance, (e.g. paid annually) might have a chance to get back the advanced payment; and

3) Employers like us of course no payment will be make after the effective date, that will be Sep.

I think for us might be the following:-

a) 2 years waiver for domestic helper levy that work HKD9.6K in total; and

b) 6 months of electricity subsidies, capped at HKD1.8K from August and another 6 months of electricity subsidies, capped at HKD1.8K effective in Mar 09, a total of HKD3.6K in total

so grand total of the benefit will be HKD13.2K.

Yes, I have mutual feeling when I first heard the news but then think deeply, you might not want to fall in any one of these categories below:

a) Being old then you have the allowance;

b) Kid who live in New Territories can have the transport subsidy;

c) Student who is CSSA - (Central Social Security
Allowance) benefit holder who will have textbook allowance;

d) Public Housing tenants;

e) food assistance programs for the poor

like my hubby said, we might cut down the junk food expense or entertainment but for the less fortune, they might skip the meal in order to cope with the inflation. So long as we have a job then have the stable income, we should be blessed on this.

Not sure if you agree or not.

yes, most important of all at the kindergarten is the Love and Care to my boy.

Why have to plan a lot for the kid, am sure you prepare the best for them, even taking nap everyday is a good activity, BUT, since many govt sport activity is free now, you might think the resource who can take the kid, maybe swimming or play badmination in the indoor sport centre.

ALL,

As mentioned, I am working mom, work in Wanchai, what about you guys, we might go for lunch together, any stay-at-home mom?
