仲以為妳已把我們忘記了,

我想常起你和你對子女,這年有回來香港嗎?跟你日傾夜傾已是一年前的事了!時間過得真快,轉眼思思細佬已四個月大呢!

多謝你的分享,得到你這位過人的指點後,個心都定d,無之前咁擔心,不過我真係唔識點去處理思思要痴著工人才肯入睡的問題,今天思思爸開始想train思思自己入睡,結果思思就由10:15失控地哭至11:30,中間有近半個鐘,成個人是"騎"在bb床的欄杆上,因她想爬出床,但工人按著她,看著她這樣子,我真不忍心呢!但又怕不恨下心腸的話,會令思思越來越似賴工人,

思思的專注力已比人差,再加上睡眠不足,長遠對心身健康都不利

究竟我應思思在入睡的問題上繼續依賴工人,還是要開始訓練她自己入睡好呢?

思思媽...大家都係新手媽媽真係好明白你想為思思好個份心....不過你既然進退2難....我覺得中庸之道係最好....唔係唔要思思獨立d..但又想佢早d訓....你可以由半小時開始....你同工人都唔好行埋思思張床...但要不停用說話安撫佢....例如"思思乖...夠鐘訓喇"....半過鍾之後唔得先由你去陪佢訓.....如果見佢有進步....就由30分鐘加到45分鐘....如此類推....思思有進步就要同佢講...."媽媽好開心見到今晚思思無喊....思思好乖呀"....久而久之一定有d成功...亦可從中增加你地既親子關係.....希望幫到你

I miss you all too.
I was so busy with the business and didnt really have much time for the kids and myself.
We did come back to HK in Oct this year to visit my parents and relatives.
The kids had a great time in HK and they loved HK very very much.
Hoyin's cantonese has improved a lot since the trip coz he wants to be able to talk to my parents (ask for presents...).
Well, I dont mind what he wants to achieve as long as he wants to speak cantonese.
Sophia is speaking quite a bit now.
She wasnt speaking much (just a few words) before 18M so we took her for a check.
She then started to talk and can speak quite well now.
Hoyin and Sophia are very good playmates.
They play with each other everyday and they love each other's company.

For 思思's sleeping problem, I would recommend you to take it easy and try to do a plan for it.
思思 was the centre of attention right until 4 month's ago and she is still young to understand what's going on and express her feelings.
How's her speaking like?
Can she express herself well?
Try to read books about feelings with her and encourage her to speak out.
She may just try to express herself at bed time coz everyone will pay attention to her and the only way her knows is crying.
How about pics or cards with feelings on it?
If you can talk her through this and let her know that you two really care about her, I think she will calm down a lot.
I remember that Hoyin started to appreciate his sister when she was after 1 coz she could talk around and play with him.
I remember clearly that he said that it was so good to have a sister.

Also, try to have some quality time with her (you and your hubby take turn) before bedtime.
Tell her that you will be very pleased if she say goodbye to you and sleep by herself.
You can start with staying with her until she falls asleep (no talking, lights off and no pick her up).
Then you tell her that you will stay for 1 hr , half an hour....then shorten to the time that you want.
Try not to let the maid does it as 思思 will take advantage of her.
Will you consider to buy a comfort toy or blanket for her?
Try to make it really special and just for her.
Sophia loves her pink bear bear and she wont sleep without it and she sleeps very well with it.
The keys are patience and consistence so add oil as I know that you are a great mother!!

You will soon see them playing happily together!!!
Add oil!!!
