Shopping time again !
This time for Chin magazines for kids.

I didn't like 兒童快報，黃巴士。
But I find this 螢火蟲 quite interesting reading for lower primary kids.

I plan to order back issues (#31 to #50), $11@.
Whereas the newer issues (#51 - #80) are $25@.
i.e. back issues are ~50% discount.

Since they can arrange for collection from their office, one of which is in Wan Chai and vvvvv near my office, I can go and collect instead of paying postage. (The back issues = special price, so no free delivery.)

If anyone is interested, pls let me know.
I plan to place an order for back issues #31 - #50 this Friday, but will not order the newer issuse nor subscribe to the magazine.

Apart from the Taiawnese "picture books" in Chin, you will find that it is not easy to find good books for reading for lower primary kids.
I have been searching in the public library for interesting and well-written books, which are not toooo low-B and less "picture book" feel, with more Chin characters. I have managed to find a few so far, and they are mostly published by 螢火蟲文化事業,和平圖書有限公司, 和平圖書有限公司, 小樹苗教育出版社有限公司; and written by a handful of authors who write good stories (unbiased, funny, interesting) : 何巧嬋, 區樂民周蜜蜜, 黃慶雲, 王元容, 黃淑華, 張龍德 , 孫玲, 謝軼火華,
韋婭......

This morning, piglet's ear temp was 38.8oC !

So another day of holiday, staying at home, fight with grandma, watch DVD / VCD, sleep, play, no school.

If I can't get his exercise books from the class teacher today (through a friend who lives near school), he will have to chase up on 3 days of homework !! And I will need to

him daily !!

i ve no strong view towards the starting time. just remember that we treat that as lunch and thus proposing 12nn or 1pm la.

I'm having lunch now, almost 4pm!! Singtao Daily is out today for the sale. The sale is open to public until next tuesday, close on sat & sun (luckily, otherwise I will have to work too) Won't be able to catch you up for lunch until the end of the sale... I start using the art show to display Jun's PTH worksheet as reminder.

The latest version of 《螢火蟲》available from the publisher's website is # 69 + #70, = May and June 2006 issue, $25@.

Latest issue (May 2007) is available from newsstand ga woh.

Or do you mean you want issues #49 + #50 $11@ ?
