The following is a comment I wrote in another thread which I wish to share:
Hi! I hired a philipino maid from Arrow. It just took two months from the day we signed the contract to her arrival yesterday, really fast! She is 27 years old and looks cheerful, but she told me she doesn't know how to cook Chinese food, but that's expected. She's lucky because my old maid who has worked 10 years for us is still around till the end of the year, and so she can teach her. Hope she will pick up fast. I'll write again later.
Tell you one thing, Rev. Allan is doing this not for money, because the agent fees will be given to the missionary centre which sent him here, and he only gets support from the missionary centre, my husband found out after talking to him because we are curious to know how come a pastor turns to do business. It's kind of like his mission and vision to help the philipinos and also the HK people.
You cannot say for sure maids hired from Arrow must be good, you know, afterall Arrow does not know them very well, only from the one week or two weeks' training. But they will help to observe them for you, and I think they are honest people and have 'heart'. We've been praying hard God will provide a good maid for us this time, and we pray for the new maid even before she arrived. We know God is in control.
