I prefer the salary is not fixed, due to HK is a free commerical city. The salary may depend the working experience & qualification, which is floating market, no one can control the market rate.
For example, I can not control how much my boss offer and what extra benefits he will pay.
If the domestic helper performance is good, I believe that the employer would like to keep the relationship, they will pay the additional salary or extra benefits to retain her.
$3000 somethings is reasonable but need no levy tax to Govt, less holiday, no maternity leave (we should have right to send her back if she pregnant).... They have better benefit and protection than us all here in Hong Kong. Like minimum salary, some of us still earning $15/hr, who helps????? :evil: :evil:
