Hi ihcneeled, We are moving back at the same time as you except we are going to Toronto instead. I’ve already opened a Canadian account for money transfer. For the shipment, I Will sent them over thro post office since I have no furnitures and no other big belongings, so I m not gonna bother to find any shipping company.

BMO and CIBC have office in Central HK. They're available to open Canada bank account in HK for immigrants. Check their website or contact them for more details.

I just simply opened a CIBC account in HK. You can apply a credit card with them in advance along. They also have pre-approval loan service for home mortgage.
hihi, my family migrated to Toronto last summer. Glad to know that a lot of mamas moving from HK. We are living in Markham. I have 4 boys and busy life here.
