Just because I don't know details about this industry and I don't know how to play piano also.
The teacher now we employ is just recommend by the piano co. We tell the time we want (Sat)and the receptionist said there is only one teacher available then we use until my girl grow up, she has to attend other activities and crash the time so we ask for change.
Then receptionist tell us no more choice for the teacher we are using and offer another to me.
After we discuss with the teacher, she said she can offer Wed to me but not teach in piano co, she can go to my home instead. She said she only stay 2 days in that piano co, and 2 days another piano co(Tom Lxx) and 3 days are private tuting time.
Under this, we have no choice (a little bit selfish coz it really beneficial to me). So, at the end, I tell piano co that "time is not appropriate' and finish the course!!! (Time is not appropriate is the truth and don't disclose we use same person at home is a lie)
I don't know whether the teacher is good or not, coz no comparison, and my daughter used 11/2 year to pass Grade 2 and now just another 1 yr to attend Grade 4 in May 10.
Anyway, I feel you are a sincere people ,an honest people and good role model for your child.
