I live in North York...I am looking for good kindergarten / baby care centre (2-3 yr old) to play in summer. As I'm working in HK, I want to go back to Toronto every year. Do you have any good suggestions? Pls advise....

我本來都住係多倫多Richmond　Ｈｉｌｌ，不過我已經回流返香港五年了，間唔中都會返多倫多探父母。我係十一月生完ｂｂ一月就返左ｈｋ啦，張birth certificatｅ都仲沒有收到，你地等左幾耐呀？

小勤BB, my baby is born in August 2004. I received the register number in Jan. I applied for birth certificate in the beginning of December and received it in Jan. Do you know that you have to fill out another form and pay $$ to get birth certificate (long form and short form)?

most of my friends send their kids to a day care in Finch and Pharmacy. I heard it is quite good. It is a Christian one. Not sure if you can join for such a short term only... Indeed, I am joining some community program which is free. There are programs for toddler too. Check out www.tccsa.on.ca

BW's mom, most of the Montessori need the toddler being toilet trained. You need to check with the school. I heard Town Centre Montessori is quite famous. Check out their website www.tcmps.com.

Many of them have open house and you can visit the campus personally. I know Toronto Montessori (Bayview and Hwy 7) has weekly session.

Oh really? Caron just finished Mother Goose in the beginning of March. I also went to Baby Food, "I Love to cook" workshops. Are you going to the "Math" workshop?

hi all
i am back to toronto last night. really had a good good time in hk. i went to shanghai, guangzhou and dongguan too. still think that holidays too short, have not visited a lot of places though.
2 cases go, 5 cases back

but nearly are for my girls

Calgary - haven't see u in the topics for a long while. How's everything?
we have an "earthquake" recently - one of the manager got lay off on last Monday morning. Then our boss hold an meeting, saying that's the decision from the head quarter. Meanwhile, some of the work has to pass back to HQ to do (so called centralization). as a result, 80% of my work gone. My boss said to all of us, will let me know before end of April, how the new work schedule or more people will have to let go. :cry:
I am well prepared to let go... and by then.. will have a good excuse to go back to HK for at least a long break (like ckkwkl) for a month of so....

Hey doggie - this topic is 'mom living in Toronto' & i am not, so it's odd to leave message here.

Yeah, really a big big excuse to seize the chance to go the HK for longer period, me too, i don't know when i can go back to get the new HKID.

Things seem going quite smooth, son in Grade 3, my girl just turn 5, going to Kindergarten in fall, now i work 4 morning a week & today is off. I haven't still file my tax return yet, last night i started, but my girl beg me to sleep w/ her, so........... hope i can have it done tonight.

There are 2 forms - 1. Live Birth Registry 2. Birth Certificate application form. Has the cheque cashed? When did you send the form to? Thunder Bay? Not sure what form you have sent in.

sorry to know that your job situation. Really hope that you will be fine. That is good that you are so positive... When my company was bought out by another, I was facing the same situation and I thought the same - going back to HK for long time.
