這裡的GP現在好衰架，唔係話你想驗咩野都會幫你驗架，他們會看看你是否真的有這樣需要才會幫你驗架，如果你兩公婆身體健康當然唔會幫你們驗啦！又或者你講到你們好想有bb但幾年來都無，唔知係唔係身體有些問題，或者他們都會幫你們驗下吧！不過唔好話我講喎

I might check with those private hospital to see if they can carry one out for me given the limited time.
how much it cost u to carry out the test in "kong on"?
I want to have the test done because my family also have the history of

why yr hubby day dream about working in Sg?
is there any reason to choosing Singapore?
I am still not sure whether it is better to raise a child in UK or Sg..

when I got married, i changed my gp to my hubby's. after I regerist, i have to see a nurse to tell her my medical history. maybe i was just married, she asked me if I wanted a baby, and b4 i got pregnant i should see her to have a blood test wor. I was healthy, no medical history or family history, but she still say that to me.
after 2 yrs, b4 i got pregnant, i did see her. she gave me some leaflets about pregnant, what food to avoid........but she only check my blood to see if i got injection against German measels. and that's it!

Hi Pigpig,

When I was in Newcastle, I told my GP that I have tried to have baby for 2 years. She wrote a letter to life science centre and I got checked 2 weeks later. I have ultrasound, blood test, urine test, etc and the dr asked me to come again one month later to monitor my progress. I didn't know I was pregnant when I was first checked :p

Good luck and it is wise to check ASAP. I'm also have a minor thalassaemia. They treat it very seriously here in UK.

As for Hong Kong family planning association, I did a check few years ago before I got marry. They usually give you the report within a week but I think you better make appointment before you arrive Hong Kong.

I think diff GP act differenly in this country..
my GP told me that they won;t do any tests for me until I am pregant...
I will be too late if there really anything wrong with me....

Thanks for all the advice..
I will see if I can have the test while in HK.
if not, I just have to come back and see another GP within the same clinic to see if they will give me any test.... :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

我果陣應該做左五百幾蚊個plan, 但係做check-up時醫生摸到我個胸有粒野, 即刻安排左我上去個專科醫生度照ultra-sound, 所以再俾多好似四百蚊

不過你自己可以決定照唔照.......
