Between the lion is more interesting than the "Learning to read with phonics". However, "Learning to read with phonics" is more systematic than BTL.
I bought "Learning to read with phonics" 2 years ago and my son loves to watch disk 1 only. He doesn't show any interest in the vol 2-5.
Vol 1 => teaches kids the sound from "a-z".
(My son loves to follow the songs. Mrs Philips and snoothy teach kids: letter A sounds "ar", B sounds "ba", C sounds "ca" and so on ,......)
From vol 2-5 => teaches kids how to blend the words. (But really boring!)
As this set of VCD was developed in early 90's, the and the picture quality is fair.
My son likes the "New Reading 360" much, especially the stories of Digger, Liz and Ben. All the CD of "NR360" were sold. You may ask Ms Fong to order a set for you next time.
For mommys who are interested in Phonics, I would like to recommend the followings (from amazon):
