Hi,

In the mid. of Dec, my daughter is certified ASTHMA. Actually, she cough more than half year, very serious at midnight and morning.

She takes Flixotide spray from 2 times increase to 5 times a day ,if cough nonstop+ Ventolin + Atrovent
However, all these seems useless to her.

Does anyone knows what's function of above sprays. I wonder whether i should change Doctor................

I just know that Ventolin would help widening the respiratory tract and it could stop the cough and wheezing.

On top of medication, I guess you need to research around your home and see if there are things that would trigger your daughter's asthma. I have read an article 'My Home Is Killing Me'. It talks about things at home that could kill an asthmatic patient. You know things like your curtains, upholstry furniture, beddings, stuff animals, carpet, rugs, roaches, moths and you name it. You have to monitor your daughter closely and find out the allergens. 90% of asthmatic patients are allergic to dust mites though so dumping your curtains, carpets, rugs and changing to anti-mite beddings would help.

My girl has been found to have nose allergy for 1 year. In this yr, we keep to 'fix' the house environment and it really works ! Here are what we've done accd'g to what DR taught us:
1)use air purifier
2)change beddings 2/wk, wash in 60C water
3)use PVC curtain
4)throw all dolls away
5)use a good vacuum cleaner with filter
and i also give 冬蟲夏草 & Live Oil for my girl.
also early sleep + exercises also v important !!

Beware of our living environment, mostly
dust mites are the source of allergy.

唔好意思，打擾大家！我第一次入嚟呢個 Topic，我自己本身有輕微哮喘病和鼻敏感，但喺呢年幾開始比較嚴重；我想請問大家可否介紹醫生比我，因我沒有睇過專科醫生！謝謝！

唉, 又翻風, 屋企個小天文台昨晚又開始咳了.....煩水......
天炙, 我個仔12月31都第一次試, 不過因佢中耳炎剛食完消炎藥所以只貼了5mins, 可能冇用啦.

我諗你最好轉個醫生睇下啦, 或者試下叫現在的dr. refer 你去政府既專科啦, 咳左咁多個月好傷架.

我女只係食個ventolin, 係要來擴張氣管既藥.

我好環保下架啦, 我己經唔用印花個啲tissue 好耐啦.

香港要多謝我地兩位小姐每年都震興經濟呀, 不停咁買廁紙, 買維他命, 睇醫生.........................

I am using OSIM vaccum only. Seems ok. Much cheaper than Rainbow though. I have read their respective websites. Seems like Rainbow is more powerful in suction but OSIM says theirs is good enough for removing dust mites!

I use Filter Queen & OSIM air purifiers too.
