香港小交響樂團07/08年樂季重頭節目，亞洲首演最新動畫電影《彼得與狼》，由音樂總監葉詠詩帶領樂團作現場演奏。

俄羅斯作曲家浦羅哥菲夫的《彼得與狼》，70年來深得7至70歲觀眾的歡迎，英國電影和電視藝術學院獎(BAFTA)得獎動畫家譚芭頓將名作化成影音的唱和，獻給大人與小孩。故事講述彼得掙脫爺爺的監護，帶着一隻癲雀一頭傻鴨到森林探險，途中遇上狡猾的狼，智鬥一番之後究竟結局如何？電影製作歷時五年，與《超級無敵掌門狗》一樣以真模型單格拍攝，但更樸實更具個人筆觸。樂器變做對白，拓闊無限想像空間。

音樂會再加上林姆斯基-高沙可夫的《西班牙隨想曲》及柴可夫斯基《睡美人》的精采選段，如此音樂盛事，絕對不容錯過。

I was surprised to see you and Elise too. Sorry I was on the phone and didn't get to say goodbye tim, it was Stephanie that's on the phone, I need to get her organized before hitting home.

I watched two competitors, Mozar Tsang and Joyce Cheung. Needless to say, just one word to sum up,"DIM". I was there to watch Joyce especially, do you know she's also a SPCC student. I saw few of her performances before (at Tom Lee piano competition), she's really talented esp her composition skills. It's pity I need to rush home after that 'cos Stephanie has dictation tmr so I didn't get to wait for the result. But were I wrong, there's no result tonight till 19/3? I'm totally new to this event so didn't know what to expect. I thought the result would be announced immediately after the event.

11/3 is a Sun, Stephanie has JXC follow by skating class, but we're free after 2pm. Do you know when will they finish?

阿囝20/3小提琴參加四級，26/3參加鋼琴四級，兩首都未得。下星期學校評估，所以暫時學業為重。Heidi在30/3比賽，她一定準備得很好了 :-P Michael咁有性格，一定很可愛

The afternoon competition starts at 2:15pm and there are 4 competitors. The results would be announced after the last performance. I guess it would finish before 3:30pm.

Do go to the Tom Lee and Gold Medal finals if you have time. It's held at the Tsuen Wan Townhall Auditorium and is not too far away from your home. The performance of the finalists were really magnificent last night.

Best wishes to the forthcoming competitions of James and Peter. James is really playing very good recently and I look forward to hearing his good news in the Festival. Does he enjoy accompanying the choir ? It is both an honour and excellent training for the child.

Wow, thanks very much for your compliments to James! Both his piano teacher and I have noticed James' improvemnt recently, esp. after 2 public piano competitions in Dec.& Jan. Though he didn't get any prize, he did learn something from and stimulated by those good players' performances! I will try to fetch him & Peter to go to the Tom Lee final competition on 19/3. Thanks again for your information/recommendation!
