yes ar.. my baby will move around when changing diaper & clothing.. I usually use a toy to make him stay ...

ve to prepare a toy before changing the diaper. n let him hold the toys once u start.

re. wearing clothes, let him sit and wear. it's the only way to do now. :p

細叭係09年1月26日出世, 體重6磅半.
4個半月轉身, 5個月識坐, 7個半月出第一只牙(下面)

How long will u stay as a full time mum? If it's not a temp arrangement, u may consider reading books about Montessori's teaching. It's v. gd for full time mum to implement the theory in the kids' learning. :)

i think it's better to read the books first and see if u "buy" her idea. becoz i know some mums won't buy part of the idea, e.g. they will think the freedom given to the kids is too much.

after reading the books and u really think the idea is gd and suits your baby, u can try taking some courses. (Course in CU is v. full. u may also consider courses elsewhere)

If u r a full time mum, u don't need to worry about the tools becoz even the instructor Daisy highly recommending mums to DIY. and actually, she said even for HK's kids being so smart, they can only use those tools, e.g. the log cylinder, at the age of 2 yrs 3 months (normal kids worldwide: 2.5yr). Thus, u still ve a lot of time to learn the theory and DIY the tools.

The focus in the first yr will be giving the baby more chance to explore the world by 5 senses. the next yr will be self-care and concentration. re. self-care, no need to buy tools. u can use the one in your home. :)

Hello everybody, have not posted messages here for days, have been really busy with the event on last Sat at work. It's finally finished now!

I only brought Beth to church and then dinner at my grandpa's place on Sunday. She didn't enjoy herself, always hold me tight when she saw so many people.

Yesterday, I took a day off. I brought her to see doctor for her eczema on her face. It has been getting more serious now. Do your babies have this problem? We have been keeping the Air conditionner on all the time so that she won't sweat easily but still....

我老公就係話唔須要俾佢之前學咁多喎, 由得佢自由發展先啦. 所以我報讀幼兒濳能佢都話我o架:tongue:

I'm now reading the montesorri theory articles but I find it hard to apply in a small flat in HK. Do you think so?

To apply Montessori theory, the consensus of all care-takers in the home is v. important. If ur husband prefers 自由發展, then it may be rather difficult to apply the theory.

Don't worry. It's just one of the options. no need to do it if the parents don't agree w/ it. :)

my brother is like that as well, v old fashioned, doesn't believe in PGs etc. from my personal experience, my bb is a quiet person, after attending PG, he has opened up a lot lor. i think we need to be selective & attend to your bb's need, don't over do it lor.
