Last time I went to Great Wolf Lodge with my friends and the kids had a blast. Going to cruise would be amazing if big group. Not sure if possible but if bk moms do some trips together would be fun! Nillie waiting for you to gather heehee

You disappeared so quick! Chloe kept asking me to bring her to your hubby but I told her to wait until I "yink-chow" my landlord. She was so disappointed poor kid. The antibiotic you must finish as Nillie said. Chloe sick 3 times in 4 weeks of school too. But I have same feeling as you that antibiotic (or medicine in general) not good so I only took her to doc once when she had fever and looked sick. Other time I just let it ran its course and it cleared itself in few days. Btw, I ended up going to Queens zoo today since it's only 10 mins away.

Every kid develops differently. Chloe wasn't talking much back in July now she talks a lot more. My coworker insists me to attend a group for that cure kids with brain damage. I know he is out of intentionl but that makes me worry more. I will watch closely if she needs more help then I'll go for it. But for now I think she is doing fine.

Nillie,
When did Amanda started the classes? How come she wants/willing to attend all those classes? I thought most kids are lazy, what's the trick? I want Chloe to learn something too but not sure where to start. Should it be art or music or sport or language? What is the right age to begin? So much to worry. My neighborhood is not good and I wanted to move but it's so hard to make it happen.

番去hk更係開心啦..最主要想陪多d我屋企人..特別係我麻麻啦..我自細就同佢住架啦..叻叻係佢第一個greatdaughter麻,佢好想見多叻叻幾次. 始終年齡大啦, 所以我能力做到既,我會盡量番去咯, 我上年帶叻叻番去幾個月, 佢連一次醫生都冇睇過呀,日日都好開心,當然我就張'打父頭'用於hk trip..嘿嘿..都係直得既.

great wolf is a lot of fun for a day. we actually took alvin too and he had fun too. but i would like to go down those big slides with my older kids so i wish someone would babysit alvin for me nor. we might stay at great wolf again for skiing in camelback next time.

wah. sound like u r worrying too much la. catholic school emphasize more on english. the real school started in 1st grade for catholic school. kindergarten they were playing & coloring & learning ABC. austin in 1st grade now is doing book report & learning amphibians, mammals & reptils in science & religion. andrew was fooling around in public school however he's going on alot more trips and also he's learnt digestive system in 2nd grade & science tools in 3rd.
most of the time it really depends on the teachers. i personally prefer public cuz austin is the only chinese in his class and i think there is some discrimination nor & also cathlic school teachers never smile & act very serious all the time.....that's how they discipline kids nor.

Do you take your nanny with you while you go skiing or even Alvin skis? Do they have ski equipment rental for kids so young? I love skiing/snowboarding but haven't went since chloe was born. Last year I went to Great Wolf chloe was 1.5 so we didn't try the big slides. I wonder if this year she can go as she is 3 (b/c i want to play!). May be we can go together as a group then we can take turn taking care of others kid hehe. Let me know when u go!

My coworker is very nice. He suggested that to me b/c his son has the problem so he wants me to help chloe asap. But as nic977 said, other people may not know your kid well and the situation, so me too, 唯有就係吾理人地講 in this case as I think chloe is not that bad in speech. But sometimes I have to listen since my bb knowledge is so limited unfortunately

how long r u gonna be gone for? couple months? is your husband going with u ? in july i went back to hk with my 2 older kids to ocean park and we almost passed out becuz of the heat.....but they had fun in the science museum la. long lines everywhere jewelry stores, amusement parks even in the restaurant cuz of the " free walking" ppl ma.

alvin is getting so out of control, he stands on dinning table, climb out of playpen, unbunkle high chair and climb out. i have to wrestle with him at bath time and he refused to change diaper and scream & cry, quite surprise my nanny is still here........................................

aiya, not taking alvin to ski lar. wah you know how to snowboard?? very cool wor..i cant even ski however i think my older kids would luv to try la. they know how to ice skates though. can chloe do ice skating? chloe CANNOT go on big slide. dont be silly. she's not tall enough ma. however, the canoe shot is great fun. like flushing in toilet bowl........next time we go together la.. how long r u gonna be gone for ? in hk?

It is so cold today and hopefully Wednesday will not be that cool la. Have to get some warmer clothes for Sai Sai tim.

I just talked to a friend in HK regarding her daughter’s education. She is only one year old but my friend already felt the pressure to which playgroup she should sign up and what kindergarden she need to register. At that moment, I thought I am lucky as I think it is more relaxing here. After reading your message, I guess I just don’t realize it yet. One of the reasons why we move here is for kid’s education. I hope they can enjoy their school life. Develop a proactive attitude to learn rather than focusing on grade. Being a mom today is not easy; hopefully we can find the balance of that.

My snowboarding sucks I only did that 4-5 times. I got bored of skiing since I don't have the gut to try the black lanes so I gave up and switched to snowboarding. I don't have much sport gene.?-( Chloe never tried ice skating but I really want her to. I don't know where they have ice rink here. I lived in Toronto for many years so I really enjoy winter sports. I am going to hk 11/18 for 2 weeks only. Wish I can stay longer but not dare to take more days off my boss may kill me.

Yeah. Like all mothers said, don’t listen to those unreasonable comments. I was always told I look smaller than my sister (I was short) when I was young.I don’t remember what my mom said to those relatives but I finally realize that is only some kind of “conversation” they tried to make.
We are the mother of our kid and we did try our best to take care of them. That’s good enough!

I feel the same way too. I guess I just not yet realized how competitive it is here as well. I want chloe to have fun while learn other stuffs. That's why I 羨慕 how Amanda enjoys learning so much. I wish Chloe is like that too.
