Nursary is supervised by Social welfare dept. and accept B from 2 - 6 (some may accept 0 - 6). 2 will go to N1, 3 go to N2 ....
Holidays are same as labour holiday (i.e. usually no Summer Holiday)
Open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Sat.
School fee from few hundreds to around HK$2500 (all charged included)
Can apply whenever you like.
Kindegardten is supervised by education dept. only BB of 2 and 8/12 will be accepted.
They have school holidays (e.g. Summer, Easter etc)
Half day and full day classes are available.
School fee usually does not cover other charges (e.g. birthday party fee).
Application usually in July-Sept a year before the BB go to school. (e.g. if go to school ib Sept 2005, should apply in 2004 and the BB must reach 2yrs and 8 months on 1st Sept 2005).

They have formal lessons. If it is a whole day nursery centre, the centre will have formal lessons in am and sleeping, tea time and 自理 in pm. 自理=teach the BB how to take care of himself.
If you need to go to work or you BB is very dependent, I suggest you send your BB to nursery.
I suggest you to find a nursery centre runs by either charity organisation or church. Privte nursery is not desirable and expensive.
When my girl was 2, I sent her to N1 as I have to go to work. It is better to send her to N1 than keep her at home with 菲菲.
This Sept, she will transfer to K1 as she likes the new school and it is a Christian one (i and my husband is Christian). However, she learnt a lot from N1 and she likes the school too.
In addition, I will send my boy to N1 of the same nursery centre when he reach 2 in next April (i.e. 2005).
