This website is very useful and it teaches kids phonics including alphabets (ABC's), vowel and consonants in a systematic approach.
It's really easy for kids to follow and learn all the word sounds and able to blend simple words after finishing all the levels (Learn to read).
Moreover, there are lots of the levelled story books in: It's fun to read and I'm reading.
Highly recommended and it's free of charge!!!
You may consider another 2 sets of phonics VCDs:
(probably they are too simple to your daughter!)
1. Longman Phonics for kids (Vol 1-6)
- some of the local kindergartens adopt this set of phonics as the teaching material
-~ $98 /vol
(you may go directly for vol 5-6 for higher level)
2. Phonics kids (3 CDs)
(with taiwan / american accent???)
- suitable for younger kids
忘了告訴你們,上星期我逛北京王府井新華書店,發覺兒童部賣的書,熟口熟面,有很多都在本欄介紹過.Ginn New Reading是重點熱賣之一,耳邊不斷傳來CoCo的VCD聲音.結果只買了幾本漫畫書,成為歷年來逛書店買得書最少的一次.因為如果要買書,可以去新XX或者國XX,反正是1:1,又有8/9折,又不用一包兩包拿到死死吓.好像今次只得1小時freetime逗留在書店內,非常匆忙.看見那麼多熟口熟面的書,好像搶回不會時間.原來得閒看吓這欄,竟有咁樣的side effect,真始料不及.
I bought the Peter Rabbit Series and I highly recommend to moms as the price is very attractive and the quality is very good. My girl loves it very much but some of the books are out of stock.

Does the Peter Rabbit series have both English and Chinese description or just simplified Chinese?
It looks so nice. But would it be too difficult for a 1.5 year old toddler?

多謝kittylock 介紹peter rabbit，等我上到書局都特別留意呢本書。我發現「國風」賣剩一本第3冊單本價$20(如果有學生證有9折)，因為剩番一本我就無買，點知臨比錢時我發現收銀處附近有之前evenly317介紹個套gei peter rabbit(都係彩色雙語gei，叫「奇妙雙語童話好樂園」，係福建少年兒童出版社出版gei)，size比較細小小，一套12冊，每本含1-3個故仔，價錢由$6-9不等，總之賣晒12本就要$79.8(9折後$71.9)。唔知我有無數錯，成套書含21個故仔，好似比kittylock介紹個套少0左2個，有興趣可以上國風睇睇。
