I have read all your message here. I am still thinking & afraid of if it is fail, I cannot see my son anymore. Anyone can share --- some faillure case (fm your friends ) . I am not (my heart) 15,16.
I did the Lasik 5 years in U.S. I feel wonderful about it. Although that time it was very expensive, I feel worth it. Especially go to the beach or swimming pool. (Just kidding.)
I love it and the surgery only takes 10 mins (actually 3 mins the most) but the preparation and rest take u 1/2 day. I could drive the day after the surgery without glasses.

mine was done by Dr Kam as well, however, your referee will get HK$1,000 as a commission. Therefore, you better check if your referee can give his/her HK$1,000 to you, then you will get HK$2,000 discount in total. Otherwise, just HK$1,000.
My wife also did the operation by Dr. Kam last month. At the beginning, I didn't agree her to do because I'm afraid that she had to take a big risk. But now I feel that she is really very happy after done. She thinks that it brings her a lot of convenience. So I think that this operation is recommended.
However, when she knew that the referer would get a rebate, she had a bit unhappy. But I think that there's "NO FREE LUNCH"! If she didn't have the referer to refer her, she could not save $1000. In fact, many other places doing this operation will have additional charge if specific doctor is requested.
Therefore, I tell her to forget it! If she thinks that Dr. Kam is good, she can introduce to others so that she can get the benefit (rebate) or transfer the benefit to her friends. Then she may feel better!
每人有每人的做法，個介紹人亦唔一定要將她/他的rebate送了出來給別人的，因為這是屬於個介紹人的。你想一想你下一次介紹人去都可以有1,000元的rebate的，而你第一次做lasik時都唔知原來個病人都會有1,000元的，所以這個亦是surprise來的。只不過我是appreciate dr kam的手藝及班姑娘的細心，所以有朋友問起先介紹去dr kam那兒，不是為了rebate。如果他的手術唔好，就算有幾多錢的rebate我都唔會去介紹啦，因為是一對眼，不是一樣壞了就掉的野。
This is what I think after I attend the talk with my wife:
1) Each operation has risk. But as I know this operation is so common that the risk is comparily low (only if your degree is low also).
2) In the talk, we also asked the doctor about the side effect of the operation. He also told us apparently that you may see things not very clear or 發炎 in case of failure. But they can do another operation.
3) Many doctors do not take this operation because their jobs require very accurate eye sight. So before you take this operation, you should consider your job duties since this operation will not 100% to be 0 degree after done.
4) Actually, the risk of the operation is not so high as I or others think. Otherwise, there will not so many people do it. But you should think over your own condition & requirement before taking decision. If you think that the worse situation is to wear glasses again & you accept this (of course no one want because it's waste money), you can consider to do.
But at the end, after discuss with my wife, I let her to do. Thanks God, it's successful & she is very happy!
