You know what - I rec'd a long-distance call from oversea last weekend. A lady from a Canada agency called me and asked me info./comment for my ex-maid. I actually knew my ex-maid was planning to apply maid job in Canada.
Anyway, the call helps me to prove she is definitely not in HK at least.

其實我意思係我用電話去通知菲傭終止合約, 菲傭放完大假唔需要返香港, 但我會補足比佢, (今個月工作日數+1個月人工+大假錢, 若機票錢要再比, 我都會比). 因菲傭既sister在香港, 所以我可以叫佢代菲傭取回物件及代簽收!
咁, 我仲有其他須要賠償?

My new maid of 1.5 mths has asked for a copy of her recent wage slip. My previous maid never requested copies but just signed off when she received payment. By law, do I have to provide copies of monthly wage slips to my maid if she requests for them? I have given her a cash cheque for the past 2 payments. I thought the purpose of wage slips is to document payment receipt so as to protect the employer.
ANS: {It is not specify in the law that employer should provide a copies of wage slips to the maid. But looking at it in another angle, it doesn't hurt to provide one to her too. At least it clears all doubt and avoidance of any potential problem between both of you as long as your calculation are clear and legal.}
