just want to say hi first. I gave birth in late Aug during my 32 weeks. Baby is 19?? g, doctor said he's ok. He was 2.45kg on 3 Sep. I hope his organs are all functioned well, as I know some premature baby are not. I'll read your previous post to get more info.

Little B is great. You have to trust your B even you don't trust the weighing machine. Your B is working hard. Go ahead.

My daughter is very naughty these days. She dosn't like eating, no matter milk or rice. We need to spend more than one hour to feed her for every meal. As she is assessed as global developmental delay, so she is now under training at Hip Hong Association. Hope she'll get better after receving the training.

Don't be 有點唔開心, the speed how they catch up is unbelievably fast! My BB was also very tiny & skinny during the first 3 months & I always feared that he could fall onto the floor underneath my arm! My BB has caught up with other full-term babies in just 6 months. The nurse said he can now be ploted on a normal growth chart instead of his corrected and noone on the street would think he is a premiee.

One more thing that I forgot to mention. If you know your baby will be discharged soon, you can call the dr first so they can obtain relevant info about ur baby from the hospital. So when you see her for the first time, she would have already known your baby's situation rather well.

In the hospital, they use a formula to calculate how much milk BB needs for a day and for each meal. You might want to find out before BB is discharged so that you can have a rough idea of how much he needs. But don't be too worried if he is not drinking enough as premiees tend to sleep a lot. The nurse advised me to feed once every 3 hours, if BB doesn't wake up for his feed, can wait till the 4th hour to wake him up for the feed to avoid dehydration.

Also, try different brands of teats and find out which one is suitable for your BB if he drinks too slowly. My nurse advised using a medium flow teat instead of newborn/No. 1 teats as the float is slower and premiees find it too difficult to get the milk out. Medium flow teat is a bit more messy at the beginning as BB can't swallow as quickly but at least it is easier for them to draw the milk out. She also said we should limit feeding time to 30 mins for each feed, otherwise it would be too close to the next feed and BB might not get hungry enough to take the next feed.

我餵小B還是用了成個鐘都係20ML左右，看來要多餵佢幾餐。姑娘話小B差唔多可以返屋企，希望佢可以快D返屋企。

小 B 昨日重到 2.23kg 啦, 又重左 90g.

今日驗眼, 都重係 stage 2. 下星期再驗, 如果呢兩三個星期冇惡化, 就會穩定落黎.
我日日都同佢加油, 佢一定會聽話.
我相信你女女都會追得上, 時間問題而已, 我地的早產 b一定得的!

加油呀, 我記得以前我係醫院有職業治療師教我點樣餵奶, 佢地lunch time就餵1次, 我就要lunch time去到學野, 果時囝囝仲住係NICU. 佢教我早產b吸啜唔叻, 要學食奶, 我地要幫佢食, 我地隻手拿奶樽之餘要用中指托住bb下巴, 一下一下咁一收一放.

希望你bb身體健康, 食多d奶奶!!!!

各位好,
我bb之前因早產嬰眼,做過一次眼睛的laser,宜家12個月大了,醫生話要入院做全身麻醉再Check眼,我想知道過程係點樣,咁細個做第二次的全身麻醉,會唔會有副作用(例如大d記性冇咁好)? 有冇bb做過,可否分享一下?\

BB初初學啜係慢D既,不過佢地日日唔同,日日進步,小B一定得!
仲有...餵BB時唔好抱BB太近自已身体,因暖暖哋BB好易瞓返,又飲唔到奶! 當時姑娘教用手掌托住BB個頭,BB條頸rest係手腕位置,BB同自已係面對面咁餵,試下有冇幫助?
你要小心照顧自己的情緒呀!我初初生完2-3個星期,姑娘同我講乜我都喊到不停,覺得好辛苦,自已好冇用,又冇人幫到我...情緒唔好,真係好影响奶量tim,所以小心D呀!

你有無問醫生係咪check眼底? 我囝6個月大前返醫院check眼底要上病房check, 因為有可能小b會因為哭到死死下而影響呼吸, 姑娘話試過有bb check眼就係咁要入返ICU......我想都係咁先要全身麻醉. 不過放心我囝由出世到2歲已經全身麻醉過2次, 佢記性好好架, 我想應該無咩影響既 (我自己生bb時都有做全身麻醉, 我老公都話我記性無影響).

Hi MatSylvia,
我bb舊年又是12個月時做了一次全身麻醉檢查, 早上入院, 入院後例行檢查, 中午book了手術室檢查, 檢查過程我都唔係好清楚, 因佢麻醉藥後已被推進手術室, 出來後, 要待4小時, 看佢呼吸&飲奶有無問題, 本來要留院, 但我見bb無咩特別, 就問了醫生可不可以即日出院, 醫生批了就走了, 現在每半年檢查一次, 當時問過醫生, 可能過1-2年又要全身麻醉檢查wor.

副作用, 我朋友都問我唔檢查得唔得, 話麻醉藥好傷記性, 我話我無得揀, 我唔會為左咁, 博唔同佢檢查.

我bb出世個年, 總共全身麻醉了3次, 但檢查清潔緊要d, 無咩必要,我相信醫生都唔會安排.
