eggegg will go to Salisbury in UK (not TST

) for exposure purpose, 二人world in Asia lor

our plan is to enrol eggegg in this kind of overseas camp before P.6, as a rehearsal for overseas study, and suprisingly eggegg is eager to join this summer ?-( [size=medium] I guess she wants to follow in my footprints, I had told her that I went to London on a research trip long long time ago on my own. (flight ticket sponsored by department la)

eggegg even says she want to get a scholarship for university study. Her target is Oxford because she has no confidence to get into Cambridge wor. Good, 有志氣 and let's see.

The story is that long time ago I luckily got a 1-year scholarship to the US on an exchange program. And the truth is that this scholarship was originally granted to a manilander, however, he/she could not get the visa. For fiscal budget purpose, the US Consulate in HK had to find some one to 'eat' this scholarship and approached my department. Within the department, I was the only one who did the US history (= cold horse lor) and so logically I was the one to take this scholarship to go there to do my research.

Penguin just finishes his mid-term exam. I had a hard week!!! The worst was that he got flu and had high fever the weekend before his exam... and had no time to do revision!! No eye see (his results) :-|

thanks. Be honest, my record showed I do have some luck, maybe because I worked hard and was a nice folk in my previous life. hahaha. So far, I am very pleased with what I have this life.

Life in the US, of course, was worthwhile as it was a very precious chance to go there. I was affiliated to a U in Kansas (the place of the story 錄野仙踪), very hot in summer and snowy in winter. Before I left, I did have a snow fight with the HK-Macau friends.

Really surprised to find many HK, Macau and CHinese students, and there was a HK-Macau student association of more than 150 members. The canteen cashier was also a Hongkonger

My main purpose was research and so I just added 2-3 courses each semester, and easily got GPA 4. Well, interesting to find that in History major, boys outnumbered girls, reversing the case in HK and Asia.
In the first semester, I stayed in the campus to do research, learn driving (so my license was issued by the US), and prepared for summer trip to the east coast. In summer, research in New York and Maryland during weekdays and sight-seeing during weekends. In the second semester back to Kansas, drove to other libraries for research.
During this stay, I flew back to HK for Easter, then later LA to join eggeggba who happened to came here to work as a 'two-five boy' and I had the chance to visit LA Customs Office

and of course went to Disneyland. In late Sept., I skipped lessons and flew to Florida (Key West is famous for diving and of course the Disneyworld). This time eggeggba was on a long holiday. In fact, I flew more than I took public buses during this stay la.

I did have the a monthly allowance of USD800, and was able to save 40%

Well, my leisure was to shop books and CDs and I returned HK with more than 100 for each

The most valuable thing was that I can meet different peoples and cultures, e.g.,. I joined a program to visit the 紅番區 and stayed with a host family. The host was a singled woman and adopted a CHinese-born girl. Of course, as a single gal, many colored guys approached whenever they saw you walking alone and so. The whites are never interested in us

anyway, 不如行万里路 is right.

I trust eggegg will have her own path and she doesn't want to be a "copy cat"!

yes, 啟新 (wing tin club) is more convenient to you and it takes in 3-year kids. If Riverain takes back the pool for self-use, I will also switch to wing tin together with eggegg's good sister and good sister's youngest sister. If Riverain is to change partner, then I will stick with the new partner, cos convenient to me la. Result will be confirmed in mid-July.

30/4 is my last teaching day (2 lectures + 1 day of student presentations), and summer holiday mood is now building up.

good, and you will be very comfortable after next month, no need to travel long.
yes, news that Riverain is considering whether to cooperate with GW, perhaps changing partners or taking it back. This news is coming from our super informant (pauline.c: good job

).

summer holiday plan:
eggegg: swimming, Chinese dance and overseas camp.
For me, after 2-man Asia trip, I will study hard, cos if I am to stay firm at SYU, I have to change field and cooperate with my boss to stage a revolution (to make the cirriculum more 'in' and liberal like.)

My boss is about to retire 2 years later and he sounds out that he hope to pass his specialities to me. In fact, I am not his No.1 choice, but his favorite pet is busy with district councillor election (i.e., change field). And, the rest of the staff are no world history folks. So, I become the only choice.

You know there is not much chance in this 行 and so try my best and see if i can seize it.

the point is not whether I get it but whether I have tried hard (process more important than result

), especially I have nothing to lose as I have already got a rice-coupon
