ANS:{Normally Indonesian maids will stay at the training center for at least a few months before the agent will take their files out to recommend to Hong Kong employer. While waiting for job, they will have varies training including cooking. I suggest that you give her a chance to let her cook what she had been taught, then decide again. You should also call your agent to ask from them.}

However, Philippines airline ticket is usually more expansive than that of Cebu Pacific. Please advise whether I can ask her to pay for the difference.

After 7 weeks, I have decided to terminate my new maid as she is dishonest and cunning. I am planning to terminate her once I find a new maid. I would like to know whether I have to inform the immigration that I am planning to terminate my present maid when processing the new maid's application.
ANS:{Yes, when you processing new application, one of the form ID407K item no. 3c, already need your information about the termination. And also you need to inform Immigration about the Levy arrangement in form ID407K Part D, you need to transfer the balance of Levy or wavied Levy & will pay again for new application. You only need to write to Immigration within 7 days after you terminated your maid but not in advanced}

Yes, they said the maid have training (including cooking) in the training camp. Also, the maid said she can cook in her file. But on the 1st day I picked her up from the agent, I talked with her & she told me she don't know how to cook!!!! Then the agent said there are so many maid who attend the cooking class in the camp & they may not have many chances to practice... (=not really know how to cook!) But why she wrote she CAN COOK by herself on the file??? I know I cannot comment if she cooks not good... but now, she DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK! The agent asked me to find my mother to teach her. But I think he is cheating me on her skills ...! What is your advice? Thanks!
Ans: {Perhaps you can consider analysing the present situation:
Besides cooking, how is the rest of her performance? Is it acceptable to you?
Did you let her cook herself without any supervision? Not even fried an egg or vegetable?
Are you or your mother willing to take the effort to teach her? You can buy her some Chinese cooking receipe in Indonesian language.
Most importantly, if you want to terminate her, can you do without a maid and afford to wait another 2-3 months for a new maid to take over?
Come to this moment, you should give her a chance to try at least 1-2 months before making any final decision.}
