Watched the late night news last night about the Lehman Brothers.

Then early this morning saw Yam Chi Kong of HK Monetary Authority then I know the economy might be real bad.

Newspaper used Financial Tsunami for the Freddie Mac, Fennie Mae, Lehman Brothers and AIG issues, so to have substantial income may be a luck at this time.

There might be job cut in the US and my friend who worked in US telecom afraid might impact to her.

The U.S. government stepped in Tuesday to rescue American International Group Inc., one of the world's largest insurers, with an $85 billion injection of taxpayer money.

Now, the US govt bails out should be peace of mind.

If more financial crisis or breakdown of the big enterprise then govt might not be able to help everyone of them. Luckily I am not work in US firm or else, there must be an impact to it.

d friend 個個都話要轉保....我都有4份保險喺 aia + 1 份基金....呀女果份人壽仲要係剛剛轉左2 個月 .....

但我個人覺得應該無問題掛..... 就算 aia 要close, 都會有公司接左佢d 單掛

應該無問題掛, aia 講左同aig 既業務係獨立既, mpf 亦有信託人管理, 應該唔會有影響掛 ~

Younger son has required to attend kindergarten by 8 am every morning, so tired.....

Today also is my birthday too, older son will go to floral shop to buy me flowers.

Hong Kong's Insurance Authority has exercised its power to ring-fence the assets of AIG's insurance subsidiaries, Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun- wah said yesterday.

The companies cannot now transfer assets or funds out of Hong Kong without prior approval from the authority.

"It's a matter of public confidence”

"We will protect policyholders' interests, in order to keep the market stable."

"Any transfer relating to normal business activities would not be barred,"

On Tuesday, AIA Hong Kong received 1,400 requests from people wanting to cash in their policies and 150 general inquiries, the source said. It received another 170 requests yesterday.

The source said the fact that requests to cash in policies slowed down shows policyholders have calmed down.

The source admitted there is a need to improve policyholder protection measures. The authority will accelerate proposals to implement a compensation fund for policyholders, the source said.

"We will make sure to submit a detailed plan to the Legislative Council for discussion in the coming legislative session," the source added.

Meanwhile, AIA Pension and Trustee, which administers MPF plans in Hong Kong, said all retirement scheme assets are safeguarded by custodians. The assets are segregated from other AIG and AIA units.

Any plan for the weekend?

Ours as usual, long/short week, then tmrw, my older son is short week, then he will swim in the morning while the younger son will have Eng lesson then swimming lesson. In the afternoon, Tommy will have MindChamps lesson and back home.

Sunday we will attend 「蜆殼綠趣遊蹤─尋找蝴蝶」之「蝴蝶學習班」活動 at PolyU.

hihi ~

今個星期我地無planning, 因為呀仔尋晚玩野, 特登 "hau" 我約朋友食飯夜返, 5:30打比我問可唔可以做晒功課, 練埋琴去姑媽屋企玩..... 我話唔得, 佢就特登做功課做到好夜, 仲發脾氣, 唔練琴, 我返到屋企, 佢瞓左, 但寫左張紙仔比我話佢無練琴, 叫我罵佢.

好我唔罵佢, 我唔出聲tim. 但係星期六日唔可以去任何地方玩, 今晚要練晒琴, 補返晒之前欠我既先至可以做功課 !! 睇你知驚未 !!!
