marshmallowchan,
I think you do not have to worry too much re hymn hymn's weight, as every baby is different and has a different speed of growth. As far as he is happy and active, can sleep well and have adequate "output", then you shouldn't be worrying too much.
My little darling is also eating less than a month ago, the nurse in the clinic asked me not to introduce cereal too soon if I want him to put on more weight. It is because the cereal is more filling but has less nutritional properties than formula.
My nephew is turning two next month and he is always on the lower 5-10% scale. Everybody thinks he is too small for his age. But he is a very happy and extremely smart boy, and he acquires all the motor skill very quickly - faster than other kids of his age - so that's a good thing for being small!
Hi Bobo1,
my baby is actually taking S26 ever since I stopped breastfeeding. His poo poo is so far so good wor, once a day and is not hard nor too soft. it's only his small appetite problem that's troubling us. People always say S26 is fattening but I totally don't think so. What brand of formula is your daughter drinking now? I also was considering changing my baby to Meiji some time ago since some mommies said it's more tasty so I was hoping that my baby will like drinking milk more. But my mom said if he poos ok with one formula, I shouldn't keep changing wor.
btw, I'm interested in the marketing survey about formula you mentioned. can you give me more details, i.e. how can I contact them?
Googoo and tsznok,
thank you so much for your encouragement! so you think it's the rice cereal that's making my baby not liking his milk, perhaps? maybe I'll stop for a few days to observe first...
oh btw, I went to Wing On and bought the Combi highchair today! it will be delivered on Thursday. Hope Hymn Hymn will enjoy his new chair and will have bigger appetite lar!
I'm also interested in the 1/2 year old birthday party wor!! but I won't be in town from late september to early October... we're taking Hymn Hymn with us to Germany to attend my sister's wedding! it will be his first trip abroad! so many things to take!!! Hope he will behave lar!! :-P
Michelmcy,
Hymn Hymn finished 4 oz of milk per feed on average yesterday. it was already quite a big achievement I think... hehe  this morning he had 5 oz when he woke up!! Hope he can continue lar... I plan to buy some 'open milk tea' to make for him...
Homama,
thanks for your encouragement! I guess raising a baby really takes up a lot of brain cells and energy from the parents' part and we can't keep worrying about all the little things... let's all keep it up lar!
thanks!
